Our fast-growing, dynamic, technology driven Land Surveying Company has an immediate need for a Professional Land Surveyor to join our growing business. This is a full time, remote position - applicants must be physically located and working from their home office in Florida due to labor laws. Out of state candidates will not be considered.
Professional Land Surveyor: starting at $75,000 up to $90,000 annually

Professional Land Surveyor Job Description

We are seeking a highly skilled and detail-oriented Professional Land Surveyor (PLS) to review, verify, and certify various types of land surveys. The ideal candidate will have extensive experience in boundary, topographic, ALTA/NSPS land title, and construction surveys, ensuring accuracy and compliance with regulatory and client requirements. This role requires strong problem-solving skills, attention to detail, and the ability to work effectively in a remote environment.

Physical demands include the ability to sit for extended periods of time working with various software programs.


Work Schedule

Operating Monday through Friday, with occasional weekend work during seasonal periods.


Job Requirements:

  • Review and Verify Surveys: Ensure the accuracy and compliance of completed surveys, including boundary, topographic, ALTA/NSPS land title, and construction surveys.
  • Sign Off on Completed Jobs: Certify and approve surveys before submission, ensuring they meet all legal, regulatory, and client requirements.
  • Resolve Problem Jobs: Identify issues with survey data or discrepancies and work with field teams and project managers to resolve them efficiently.
  • Quality Assurance: Maintain high standards of accuracy and compliance in survey deliverables.
  • Collaboration: Communicate effectively with survey teams, engineers, and clients to clarify project needs and ensure all survey work is completed accurately.
  • Regulatory Compliance: Stay up to date with state and federal surveying regulations and industry standards.
  • Documentation and Reporting: Maintain proper records and documentation for all reviewed and approved surveys.
  • Remote Coordination: Work effectively from home using digital tools for collaboration, review, and approval processes.


Skills and Experience:

  • Must hold a valid Professional Land Surveyor (PLS) license in the required jurisdiction(s).
  • Strong understanding of surveying principles, regulations, and technology (GPS, GIS, AutoCAD, Civil 3D, etc.).
  • Excellent attention to detail and problem-solving skills.
  • Strong communication skills and ability to work independently in a remote environment.
  • Proficiency in using survey software and digital tools for document review and approvals.
  • A high school diploma or GED diploma is mandatory.
  • Desirable qualifications include at least 2 years of relevant experience in the surveying industry
