The Professional Land Surveyor is responsible for overseeing and managing survey technicians, performing boundary, easement, deed, and title reviews, and conducting detailed research at the town, county, and state levels. You will also be responsible for evaluating surveys, field notes, maps, aerial photographs, and other materials to identify potential project constraints and determine the best approach to complete projects on time and within budget.   • Prepare survey exhibits utilizing field and office data
  • Draft subdivision, boundary, and easement plats
  • Compute site plan data for field crew to use on construction stakeout projects
  • Create surface models and produce elevation contours for topographic surveys
  • Provide guidance and mentorship to Field Crew

Knowledge, Skills and Abilities

  • A valid Professional Land Surveyor (PLS) license in the state of Virginia is plus
  • Field and office experience in land surveying is essential, and attention to detail is a must.
