About Halo Land Management

Halo Land Management supports energy and infrastructure projects with land services that are clear, accurate, and ready for action. Our teams partner with developers to organize the records, agreements, and data that help projects move forward. We believe strong execution starts with clean information and steady communication. Land Technicians play a key role in that work every day. In this role, you will help turn lease files, title records, tract data, and field updates into reliable information the team can trust.

The Role

As a Land Technician, you will support Halo’s land teams by keeping lease, title, and tract records organized and current. You will review documents, compare ownership details, update spreadsheets, and help prepare files for team and client use. You will work closely with Landmen, Abstractors, GIS, Legal, and project leads.

Your work will help teams spot gaps early, reduce confusion, and keep projects moving with confidence.

What You Will Do

Your work will bring order to detailed project information. You will handle lease files, title materials, tract records, and support documents with care. Some days will focus on data entry and file updates. Other days will include issue tracking, reporting, or helping a team member prepare for a deadline. You will work in a remote setting, so strong follow-through and clear updates are important.

  • Enter and maintain lease, ownership, and tract data in spreadsheets, trackers, and land databases.
  • Review lease terms, title materials, legal land descriptions, and ownership details for accuracy.
  • Track key dates, including lease terms, expirations, extensions, and related obligations.
  • Organize lease files, abstracts, deeds, exhibits, and support documents in shared systems.
  • Flag missing, unclear, or inconsistent records so the right team can resolve them early.

You will also support reporting, curative work, file preparation, and client-ready deliverables. You will help maintain clean digital folders, version control, and consistent naming standards across active projects.

What You Bring

You do not need to know every Halo workflow on day one. You do need strong attention to detail, steady organization, and pride in accurate records. You should enjoy working with documents and data. You should also be comfortable asking clear questions when something does not match. Halo will support you with tools, guidance, and team knowledge.

  • At least 1 year of experience in land, title, legal support, lease administration, records, or related work.
  • Working knowledge of leases, deeds, abstracts, title materials, or legal land descriptions.
  • Strong Excel skills and comfort working with large spreadsheets or datasets.
  • Ability to manage multiple assignments and deadlines without losing accuracy.
  • Comfort using shared drives, digital file systems, trackers, and spreadsheet-based workflows.

Experience with oil and gas, renewable energy, infrastructure, land software, document systems, GIS-supported tract materials, or curative support is a plus. AAPL membership is also valued.

How You Will Grow

In your first 30 days, you will learn Halo’s tools, file structure, naming standards, and data entry expectations. By 90 days, you will manage routine record updates, maintain trackers, and identify common documentation gaps. By six months, you will handle larger volumes of lease, tract, and title data with confidence. By 12 months, you may become a trusted internal resource for record quality, file integrity, and process improvement.

What Halo Offers

Halo offers a team culture built on precision, trust, and dependable support. You will have the flexibility of a remote work environment while staying connected to active project teams. Your work will matter because clean records help every part of a project move better. You will gain exposure to land, title, lease, and project workflows across a growing land services company.

  • A meaningful role in high-impact land, energy, and infrastructure projects.
  • Flexibility in a remote work environment.
  • Exposure to lease, title, curative, and project support workflows.
  • Opportunities to build deeper land operations and documentation skills.
  • A team that values accuracy, reliability, communication, and strong support work.

Culture Fit

You will thrive at Halo if you enjoy bringing order to detailed information. You should take pride in clean records, clear folders, and accurate trackers. You will do well here if you are dependable, responsive, and calm under deadline pressure. Halo values people who communicate early, support the team, and care about doing the work the right way.
