OVERVIEW
A unique opportunity to gain experience and skills in all facets of the Golf Industry, Grayhawk Golf Club is actively interviewing Assistant Golf Professionals to join the team.
Open to everyone, the club features a memorable golf and lifestyle lineup, with the Raptor and Talon Golf Courses leading the way as two of the best public golf experiences in Scottsdale, Arizona. Both have hosted competitive tournaments beginning in '95 with what's now known as the WGC-Dell Technologies Match Play, the PGA TOUR's Frys.com Open (2007-2009) and most recently the NCAA Men's and Women's Golf Championships (2021-2023).
Grayhawk Golf Club's Golf Shop & Trading Company offers one of the most stylish shopping experiences in the game, and the food and beverage operation includes four dining outlets and catering for groups of all sizes. The Assistant Golf Professional at Grayhawk opens doors to the ever-growing golf industry and beyond. "Grayhawk University" offers opportunities to learn at a premier public golf course from one of the best "faculties" in the industry.
Here you'll learn merchandising from one of the best in the business and about the maintenance of championship-caliber playing conditions from a third-generation agronomist. Many of Grayhawk's Instructors are top in their field as well. The golf shop team is very involved in the continued growth of junior golf. The skills learned at Grayhawk will prepare you for success no matter which career path you choose.
ESSENTIAL RESPONSIBILITIES
• Provide superior customer service and promote the mission of Grayhawk Golf Club.
• Perform daily responsibilities, including tee sheet maintenance, pace-of-play monitoring, daily procedures, and inform guests of anything they may need to know to maximize their experience.
• Assists with a wide range of tournament operations throughout the year, from smaller groups to elevated charity pro-ams.
• Maintain an awareness of golf shop products and services to effectively assist guests with purchases.
• Coach and assist junior golf instructional programs including an in-house PGA Jr. League.
EXPERIENCE REQUIRED
• PGA Member or PGA Level I or higher Associate preferred.
• Two years of golf operations experience preferred at a high-end daily fee golf facility or private golf club.
• Excellent customer service and guest-focused attitude.
• Strong communication, setting priorities, and organizational skills.
• Ability to work efficiently in a fast-paced environment with attention to detail.
