Salary Range: $43,000- $48,000
Work Hours: Monday-Friday 8am-5pm
Location: We have 2 locations in Crawfordsville: North Plant at 1009 Sloan St.
South Plant at 600 State Road 32 West. This position is for both locations.
Lakeside Book Company is seeking an Administrative Assistant to provide administrative and operational support for the facility. This role serves as a key point of contact for employees, visitors, vendors, and internal teams while supporting office administration, communication, reporting, logistics, and employee engagement activities.
This position requires someone who is organized, professional, proactive, and able to manage multiple priorities while supporting the day-to-day needs of the site.
What You'll Do
  • Welcome employees, visitors, vendors, and guests while supporting daily front desk needs.
  • Answer phones, respond to emails, direct deliveries, and support general office communication.
  • Maintain calendars, contact lists, records, reports, and site communication tools.
  • Order supplies, process purchases, track service requests, and help keep the office running smoothly.
  • Support onboarding, meetings, employee events, recognition activities, and site communications.
  • Maintain attendance, vacation, and schedule records while handling confidential information appropriately.
  • Partner with leaders and team members to support day-to-day facility needs.

What You Bring
  • 2 or more years of administrative, office support, customer service, or logistics experience preferred.
  • Associate degree or equivalent experience preferred.
  • Strong communication skills and a professional, helpful approach.
  • Good organization and time management skills with the ability to manage multiple priorities.
  • Experience with Microsoft Office and Google Workspace.
  • Ability to learn internal systems and follow office processes.
  • Strong attention to detail, confidentiality, and follow-through.

Physical Requirements
This role primarily works in an office environment using standard office equipment such as computers, phones, and printers. The position may require sitting for long periods, occasional walking or standing, and light lifting up to 10 pounds.
