Our growing client is seeking an AV Support Technician to provide hands-on support for conference room technology, video collaboration systems, hybrid meetings, and live events. This is an exciting opportunity for an experienced AV professional who enjoys working directly with end users, solving technical challenges, and ensuring seamless meeting experiences.

The ideal candidate will combine strong audio-visual technical skills with excellent customer service and communication abilities, helping users confidently navigate modern collaboration technologies.


Position Overview

As the AV Support Technician, you will be responsible for managing, maintaining, and supporting conference room technology and video conferencing systems across a professional corporate environment. You will serve as the primary resource for meeting support, user training, troubleshooting, and conference room readiness.

This role requires a customer-focused technician who can provide both proactive support and real-time assistance during meetings, presentations, webinars, and special events.


Key Responsibilities

Conference Room & AV Technology Support

  • Manage and support conference room audiovisual equipment and collaboration technologies
  • Configure, maintain, and troubleshoot:
    • Video conferencing systems
    • Interactive displays
    • Audio systems
    • Presentation equipment
    • Collaboration platforms
  • Monitor conference room technology to ensure optimal performance and reliability
  • Perform routine testing and validation of equipment before meetings and events


Video Conferencing & Meeting Support

  • Support hybrid, virtual, and in-person meetings
  • Assist presenters and participants with:
    • Video conferencing connections
    • Audio setup
    • Presentation sharing
    • Screen sharing
    • Meeting controls
  • Provide real-time troubleshooting and technical support during meetings and live events
  • Ensure smooth operation of collaboration platforms and conference room systems


User Training & Documentation

  • Train employees on conference room technologies and collaboration tools

  • Conduct onboarding sessions and technology orientation training for new users

Event & Presentation Support

  • Coordinate with stakeholders to ensure all technical requirements are met before events begin
  • Verify equipment functionality and resolve issues proactively


Technical Troubleshooting

  • Diagnose and resolve hardware, software, connectivity, and user-related issues

  • Maintain documentation of equipment configurations and support activities
  • Recommend improvements to enhance reliability and user experience

Qualifications

Required Experience

  • Minimum of 2 years of experience installing, maintaining, troubleshooting, and supporting professional AV systems
  • At least 1 year of experience providing direct user support for conference room and meeting technologies
  • Experience supporting enterprise conference room environments
  • Proven ability to troubleshoot audiovisual equipment in real-time situations
