Job Description
You will analyze and interpret complex records in order to identify and accurately bill for services with the appropriate ICD-10 and CPT/HCPCS codes. This will include assigning/sequencing billing codes in compliance with third party payor requirements and obtaining clarification when presented with conflicting or non-specific documentation, when necessary. In addition, you may be involved in reviewing coding-related denials from payors and making recommendations to resolve claims based on payer guidelines.
Qualifications
To qualify you must possess:
  • At least 2+ years of inpatient and outpatient professional medical coding experience required; with a background coding for multi-specialty practices.

AND/OR
  • At least 2+ years of relevant facility coding experience, specifically in Clinics (mandatory), Lab/Radiology (mandatory), ED, OBS, SDS, and/or Inpatient (strong preference for injection/infusion experience).
  • CPC, CCS, or CCS-P certification required
  • Effective communication, analytical and research skills with a keen attention to detail
