Position Summary
The Production Plant Floater is responsible for supporting various production departments as needed to ensure efficient plant operations. This position requires flexibility, dependability, and the ability to learn multiple job functions throughout the facility. Floaters may work in the soil room, sorting, washing, drying, finishing, packing, loading, or other production areas based on daily business needs.
Essential Duties and Responsibilities
  • Rotate between production departments as assigned by management.
  • Perform duties in various work areas including:
    • Soil Room
    • Sorting
    • Wash Aisle
    • Drying
    • Finishing/Folding
    • Packing
    • Shipping and Loading
  • Follow established production standards and quality requirements.
  • Assist with maintaining workflow and meeting daily production goals.
  • Inspect products for quality and report issues to supervisors.
  • Maintain a clean and organized work area.
  • Follow all company safety policies and procedures.
  • Properly use required personal protective equipment (PPE).
  • Assist with cross-training and learning new tasks and equipment.
  • Support team members and help address production bottlenecks.
  • Perform other duties as assigned.
Qualifications
  • High school diploma or GED preferred but not required.
  • Previous manufacturing, warehouse, laundry, or production experience preferred.
