Job description

POSITION: Production Manager
FULL-TIME/PART-TIME: Full Time
LOCATION: Bothell, WA
React Health is a fast-paced, growth-driven manufacturer and distributor of medical equipment, dedicated to supporting patients, caregivers, physicians, and healthcare providers. With a focus on respiratory and sleep health sectors, we offer a comprehensive range of products and services across acute care, non-acute care, and home medical equipment. By integrating manufacturing and distribution, React Health addresses the needs of both undiagnosed individuals and those requiring therapy after diagnosis, particularly within the sleep and respiratory care sectors.
GENERAL SUMMARY
This position has the responsibility for manufacturing assembly as well as managing the work of the team leaders and assemblers. It is vital to promote and drive Lean and Continuous Improvement as part of the daily work activities, and manage the manufacturing operations by planning production schedules, materials requirements, budgeting, and staffing needs.
QUALIFICATIONS
  • Bachelor's degree in engineering, Manufacturing or related field required
  • Minimum five experience as a manufacturing production manager in a lean environment working with quality control systems, preferably in electronics or medical device as well as in a GMP/ISO environment
  • Previous supervisor/manager experience required
  • Excellent short- and long-term planning, statistical, and organizational skills, including ability to effectively plan, track, and adjust human, material, and other resource needs
  • Computer proficient; confident using data analysis programs and Microsoft Suite
  • Knowledge of manufacturing operational systems, best practices, processes, and technology
  • Ability to provide positive and constructive feedback, coach/mentor, and develop individuals
  • Demonstrated ability to cheerfully work to challenging schedules

Preferred Education
  • Master's degree in engineering preferred.

Preferred Experience
  • Excellent attention to detail and project management skills.
  • Excellent written/oral communication skills required. Must be able to work effectively with diverse groups of people.

Physical Demands
  • Occasionally lifting of up to 25 lbs. is required.
  • Good manual dexterity for the use of common office equipment such as computers, copiers, and measuring tools is required.

DUTIES AND ESSENTIAL FUNCTIONS

  • Monitor work, alter schedules to meet unforeseen conditions, control flow of work to ensure maximum use of available capacity and effective use of labor, tools and equipment.
  • Monitors daily operations to identify and resolve problem areas relating to staffing, scheduling, tooling, quality, and production line arrangement.
  • Directly manage the daily production process and make necessary adjustments as needed to realize goals and meet customer needs.
  • Train individual employees in the company's processes.
  • Ensure that safety and other company policies and processes are followed.
  • Provide prompt problem solving for key issues, driving through from root cause identification, containment, problem resolution, and ensuring repeat issues are avoided.
  • Act as a team role model and change agent. Positively lead and influence team members to partner together to achieve individual and business goals.
  • Attends and participates in departmental meetings. Attends seminars and training sessions necessary to maintain appropriate level of professional competence.
  • Ensures all department compliance guidelines are met.
  • Attends all meetings, in-services training, or continuing education as delegated by the supervisor.
  • Provides customer focused interactions.
  • Performs all duties necessary for the department as per department policies and procedures.
  • Performs other duties and responsibilities as delegated by the supervisor within the scope of practice and the responsibilities in the department.
