Metal Finishing Technician  Job Summary: 

PrideStaff is working with a local engineering and metal manufacturing facility that is seeking a Metal Finishing Technician to join their team.  The  Metal Finishing Technician will use a variety of tools to perform Finishing/Deburring work such as microscopes, grinders, tumblers, and hand/power tools while ensuring finished work meets quality standards.  The ideal Metal Finishing Technician has multiple years of hands-on Finishing and Deburring experience in a manufacturing environment, leading others and ensuring finished work meets high-quality standards while adhering to tight GD&T. The Metal Finishing Technician is a full-time, direct-hire position in Newark, NY. 


 Metal Finishing Technician Job Duties & Responsibilities:

  • Set up, Program, & Select Tools For Each Job For Deburring/Finishing 
  • Deburr Parts For Aerospace Manifolds 
  • Read Blueprints & or Drawings to Guide Work 
  • Assist, Lead, & Train Others in Deburring of Complex Parts 
  • Verify Each Work Completed Meets Quality Standards 
  • Accurately Document & Record Work Completed 
  • Ensure Work Area is Maintained & Organized 
  • Follow All PPE & Safety Guidelines


 Metal Finishing Technician Job Requirements: 

  • High School Diploma or Equivalent Required 
  • 2+ Years of Finishing/Deburring Experience Preferred  
  • Previous GD&T Knowledge Related to Finishing/Deburring Product Preferred 
  • Familiar With AS9100 Competencies as Defined by QL-7200 Training Matrix
  • Must be Able to Use a Microscope to Visually Inspect Work 
  • Clear Blueprint & Document Interpretation Required 
  • Must Have Excellent Hand & Eye Coordination & Dexterity 
  • Demonstrates Excellent Written & Verbal Communication Skills 
  • Leads With a Positive Attitude & a Willingness to go Above & Beyond
