RESPONSIBILITIES

  • Works with Supervisor and Lead Hand to ensure that daily productivity targets are met in a timely and safe manner.
  • Demonstrate positive and safe workplace behavior at all time and work as a team in the achievement of daily production targets.
  • Completes a variety of tasks within a department (may be Press Shop, Door line, Cut to length and Shear)
  • Sets up and operates break press and/ Or notching machines, in accordance with established safe procedures.
  • Comply with company's EHS guidelines and ensure all required PPE are used while working on the shop floor
  • Reads and interprets blueprints and diagrams to select, position and secure machinery.
  • Adjusts machine settings to complete tasks accurately, according to material specifications, in safe and timely fashion.
  • Focuses on learning tasks and ensuring quality at all times.
  • Perform repetitive tasks and handle material up to 5-20 Lbs. for an 8-10 hour shift.
  • Contributes to the overall functioning of the team by maintaining awareness of best practices/emerging issues, both internally and externally, sharing best practices and building effective working relationships across the team and company.
  • Strong desire to train in any/all departments.
  • Performs other duties as necessary.
