Responsibilities

We are looking for a Product Line Manager to join the Industrial NPD team! This position reports to the Global Product Group Director. Be a part of a cross functional team that thinks differently about safety. Our goal is to make PPE differentiated, simple, and approachable so that customers can focus on their work and productivity. Specific responsibilities include, but are not limited to, the following: 

  • Drive the execution of the global Fall Protection strategies
    • Serve as a leader and/or team member on new product development teams
    • Gather and document robust voice of the customer (VOC) as a critical input to new product development
  • Contribute to the new business models that support reoccurring revenue streams
    • Work with customer-focused teams on planning and development of all marketing collateral, content and demand creation programs
    • Strategically price products to maximize sales and profitability
  • Drive global growth of fall protection with support for International regions
    • Forecast both revenue and unit plans for Operations and Management
    • Work with the Operations team to support continuous production
    • Manage product recalls and field upgrades
    • Play an active role in all product quality issues including monitoring and resolution
    • Manage the product life cycle process
    • Track and report product line performance metrics
    • Provide analysis of the competitive landscape and market trends that impact the product line
    • Provide strategic input to regional and global steering teams
    • Assist with the development of the annual product portfolio and long term business strategy for the product groups
    • Using appropriate methods and a flexible interpersonal style to help build a cohesive team; facilitating the completion of team goals

Education Required: 

  • Bachelor’s Degree in Marketing, Advertising, Business Administration or related discipline

This position is available at multiple levels depending on experience: 

  • Marketing Specialist I: No experience necessary
  • Marketing Specialist II: 2 years of experience
    Assistant Product Line Manager: 4 years of experience in marketing, sales, or engineering of technical products. 
  • Product Line Manager I: 5 years of experience in marketing, sales, or engineering of technical products. 
  • Product Line Manager II: 7 years of experience in marketing, sales, or engineering of technical products. 
  • (MBA or graduate degree may be substituted for up to 2 years of experience)

  • Mechanically minded and comfortable working with hands
  • Entrepreneurial mindset
  • Strong presentation, customer service, business and negotiation skills
