Job description

American Construction Metals (ACM), a strategic business unit of ABC Supply, produces a wide array of metal building materials including trim coil, edge metal, gutter systems, and a variety of other metal accessories. ACM is seeking machine operators to join its team. If you're looking for a manufacturing position with an established company, we want to hear from you!
Job duties may include:
  • Operating machines and manufacturing equipment
  • Cutting and feeding metal coil into machines
  • Monitoring product quality
  • Filling out and changing work orders and other paperwork as needed
  • Packaging product per specifications
  • Being trained and certified on various equipment
  • Performing all duties safely and as directed

Qualifications include:
  • Machine operating experience and the ability to read calipers and tape measures is a plus
  • Ability to be cross-trained on multiple machines
  • Must be able to lift up to 75 lbs
  • Positive attitude and team player

Physical Demand:
  • Associate must be able to lift up to 50 lbs. unassisted and up to 100 lbs. with assistance.
  • Ability to stand, walk, bend, stoop, crouch, reach, and lift for a full 8-hour day.

Work Environment:
  • 100% manufacturing setting
  • Associate must comply with assigned Personal Protective Equipment (PPE) requirement in varies areas, including but not limited to, safety glasses, hearing protection, gloves, and safety shoes.
