Job description

*$22.08 per hour plus $.50 per hour shift differential.
9pm-630am 4 - 10 hour days, Shift will be Tue - Fri or Mon - Thur, will vary
Responsible for set-up and operation of all packaging equipment, and quality of the Products being shipped. Responsible for all packaging line positions within the plant. Responsible for performing all packaging, sanitation, and shipping functions, including forklift.

JOB SPECIFICS:

  • Monitor packaging line for maintenance, sanitation, packaging needs and/or deviations making adjustments as necessary.

  • Report mechanical problems to maintenance.

  • Recognize, report, and, if necessary, hold non-conforming (out of specification) or inferior product including proper slicing.

  • Set up packers for all products

  • Change packaging film, colored bands, and Thermal ribbons.

  • Pull broken trays and/or foreign matter from line. Able to run the tray washer.

  • Abide by and ensure plant personnel are following all GMPs, Personal Safety, Food Safety, HACCP, and SQF Rules. Adheres to the Baldinger Code of Conduct.

  • Other duties may be assigned as business necessitates.

EDUCATION/EXPERIENCE:

  • High School graduate or its equivalency in experience and/or training. Ability to do basic math and computation skills as well as possess verbal and written skills. Forklift experience is preferred.

PHYSICAL REQUIREMENT:

  • Able to stand for up to 12 hours, while working with and around machinery.

  • Able to stoop, bend and crouch on a regular basis to check equipment or supplies in low-lying areas.

  • Able to lift 50 pounds on a continuous basis.

  • Able to push and/or pull wheeled carts of 100 to 500 pounds on a regular basis.

  • Able to sweep, mop, and do general, as well as detailed, cleaning per SSOPs.

  • Able to climb ladders.

Working Hours:

3rd shift (9:00pm-630am)
