Job description

Summary

The Production Floater is a versatile manufacturing role responsible for supporting quality control, repairs, and final assembly processes across multiple production areas. This position requires flexibility, technical aptitude, strong attention to detail, and the ability to perform a variety of hands-on tasks in a fast-paced manufacturing environment.

Duties & Responsibilities
  • Quality Control (QC) Support

    • Inspect components and finished units for defects or deviations from specifications

    • Conduct functional testing on finished products to ensure quality standards are met

    • Document and report any quality issues or trends

  • Repairs & Troubleshooting

    • Diagnose and repair product failures or issues identified during testing or inspection

    • Collaborate with technicians to resolve mechanical/electrical issues

    • Perform rework and adjustments as required

  • Final Assembly Assistance

    • Support final assembly of products, including installation of parts, wiring, and mechanical connections

    • Follow written work instructions, diagrams, and standard operating procedures

    • Verify assembly accuracy against specifications and samples

  • Cross-Functional Flexibility

    • Float between QC, Repairs, and Final Assembly based on daily production needs

    • Assist with special projects or departmental support as needed

Qualifications & Requirements
  • Prior manufacturing, assembly, or technical experience preferred

  • Mechanical aptitude with ability to use hand and power tools

  • Strong attention to detail and quality focus

  • Ability to read basic work instructions and communicate clearly

  • Comfortable working in a team environment with flexible duties
