SAP Production Planning - Production Control Scheduling Functional Lead

The Boeing Company is looking for a highly experienced and detail-oriented SAP Production Planning - Production Control Scheduling Functional Lead to join the team in Berkeley, MO; Seattle, WA; Dallas, TX; Huntsville, AL; Mesa, AZ; El Segundo, CA; Long Beach, CA; Englewood, CO; Miami, FL; Chicago, IL; Heath, OH; Oklahoma City, OK; Ridley Park, PA; Plano, TX; Arlington, VA; Everett, WA; North Charleston, SC; or Hazelwood, MO.

This individual will have in-depth knowledge and hands-on experience with SAP Production Planning (PP) modules. This position will focus on implementation and support of SAP projects and Products.

A successful candidate will understand the importance of collaboration as this position will focus on working directly with multiple stakeholders including business, solution architects and developers to implement SAP projects.

Position Responsibilities:

  • Conducts Workshops and contributes towards process solutioning

  • Collaborates with cross functional teams comprising of business Subject Matter Experts (SMEs), Architects, Developers and System Integrators (SIs), and Vendor Consultants on current processes and proposing solutions to enhance current systems for projects and products

  • Identifies, recommends, and implements complex configuration solutions and implements full cycle configuration to meet business needs

  • Creates and updates associated documentation including Business Process Designs (BPDs), process flows, Key Decision Documents (KDDs), Configuration Design Documents (CDD), Functional Design Specs (FDS), and Workflow, Reports, Interfaces, Conversions, Enhancements, and Forms (WRICEF) objects

  • Translates functional specifications into application design documents

  • Coordinates with the development team to test new functionality or enhancements

  • Prepares test plans and test scripts, and performs unit tests and integration tests

  • Proposes and recommends SAP standardized best practices and solutions as per clean core guidelines

  • Participates in the project delivery during testing cycles and leads the root cause analysis and correction of issues

  • Works with the usage of the Signavio process modelling, JIRA, and Tricentis Tosca testing

  • Handles and leads the development of objects independently in collaboration with the team

  • Works with the SAP project systems

  • Understands the SAP activate methodology and Scaled Agile Framework (SAFe) development methods

  • Contributes to the overall project management plan using SAP activate methodology

BasicQualifications (Required Skills/Experience):

  • 10+ years of experience in SAP PP

  • 5+ years of experience in S/4HANA Production Planning

  • Experience with SAP S/4 HANA PP, Quality Management (QM)

  • Experience with End-To-End full life cycle implementation in SAP S/4 HANA

  • Experience with SAP Production Planning in a large and complex business environment

  • Experience working with Interfaces

  • Experience with SAP module specifics including user exits, batch jobs and standard SAP reports

Preferred Qualifications (Desired Skills/Experience):

  • Bachelor's degree or higher

  • SAP certifications in SAP S/4 PP, Quality Management, or Materials Management

  • Experience with SAP PP including material master, Material Requirements Planning (MRP), forecasting & demand management, planning strategies, Bill Of Materials (BOMs), item categories, routings & advanced routing, capacity leveling, Sales and Operations Planning (S&OP)/Flexible Planning, FIORI, and PP configurations

  • Experience in the Aerospace and Defense industry

  • Experience with Product Lifecycle Management (PLM) and Manufacturing Execution System (MES) integration

  • Experience with discrete and repetitive manufacturing

  • Experience with central function activities Engineering Change Management (ECM), Organizational Change Management (OCM), and Batch

  • Experience in cross functional integration with SAP Sales and Distribution (SD), procurement SAP Materials Management (MM), warehouse SAP Extended Warehouse Management (EWM), costing SAP FICO, and quality SAP QM

  • Experience with Work Breakdown Structures (WBS)

  • Experience with S4 Hana Production Planning and Detailed Scheduling (PPDS)
