Position: Production Control Planner

Hours: 40 hours per week

Position Summary

The Production Control Planner is responsible for coordinating daily production activities to ensure materials, work orders, and schedules are executed efficiently. This role supports on-time delivery by managing work order release, tracking production progress, resolving shortages, and maintaining accurate system data.
Responsibilities

โ€ข Release, schedule, and manage work orders in alignment with the master production schedule.
โ€ข Coordinate with Production, Procurement, and Warehouse to ensure material availability and readiness for manufacturing.
โ€ข Monitor WIP (work-in-process) and production progress; identify delays, bottlenecks, or shortages and escalate as needed.
โ€ข Track and prioritize orders to support on-time delivery, including expedites and schedule adjustments.
โ€ข Maintain accurate data in ERP/MRP systems, including work order status, lead times, and inventory transactions.
โ€ข Communicate daily production status, risks, and recovery plans to cross-functional teams.
โ€ข Support inventory control by monitoring shortages, excess, and slow-moving materials.
โ€ข Assist in capacity coordination by highlighting constraints and supporting scheduling adjustments.
โ€ข Prepare and maintain reports on production performance, WIP status, and delivery metrics.
โ€ข Support continuous improvement initiatives to enhance production flow, data accuracy, and process efficiency.
Qualifications
โ€ข Bachelorโ€™s degree in Supply Chain, Operations, Business, or related field (or equivalent experience).
โ€ข 2โ€“4 years of experience in production planning, scheduling, or manufacturing operations.
โ€ข Basic understanding of MRP/ERP systems and production control processes.
โ€ข Strong attention to detail and ability to manage multiple priorities.
โ€ข Good analytical and problem-solving skills.
โ€ข Effective communication and coordination skills with cross-functional teams.
