Job description

JOB TITLE: Production Arts Team Member

DEPARTMENT: Production Arts

REPORTS TO: Director of Production Arts - Alex Priore

PURPOSE OF POSITION:

Provide technical support to public areas of campus including sound, video, recording, and lighting.

ESSENTIAL DUTIES AND RESPONSIBILITIES:

  • Work hours will vary
  • Perform stage setup duties: running cables, running soundboards, lighting, video
  • Use computer skills for recording: exporting and burning for both audio and video
  • Set-up/tear-down of light, sound, and video equipment for events
  • All team members are a part of General Campus Tech and will perform basic AVL duties for events around campus
  • Audio Team:
    • Runs sound check, set gains, EQ, Compression, and effects
    • Mixes Front of House and broadcast mix
    • Knowledge of audio systems
    • Creates a monitor mix
  • Audio Record:
    • Sets up a session in recording software
    • Edits audio and export to appropriate folder
    • Creates Audio CDs for music department
  • Video Production Team
    • Sets up and runs cameras for livestream
    • Basic knowledge of broadcast cameras and DSLRs
      • Tilt, pan zoom, and focus
    • Directing
    • Shading
    • Graphics/ Lyrics
  • Lighting
    • Use of lighting board
    • Sets up floor stage lighting
      • Colors & design
    • General Campus Tech
    • Sets up and tear down all kinds of equipment around campus
    • Has a working knowledge of the gig rig
    • Knows how to use the Crestron system and set up and use projection for different locations around campus
  • Other duties as assigned.
