Key Responsibilities
  • Assess and resolve product and process issues across the aircraft lifecycle.
  • Perform root cause analysis and develop engineering dispositions for non-conformances.
  • Design and support structural and electrical repairs to restore aircraft to original design capability.
  • Develop and implement product and process improvements.
  • Analyze reported issues for potential safety concerns and recommend corrective actions.
  • Support Integrated Product Teams (IPTs) and participate in design reviews.
  • Represent engineering in production, modification, repair, and post-production environments.
  • Ensure supplier and build partner compliance with engineering standards and requirements.
  • Develop customer correspondence supporting continued safe operation and maintenance of aircraft.
  • Support aircraft repair teams, accident investigations, and field service activities.
  • Design jacking, shoring, and interim structural repair solutions and perform associated analyses.
  • Develop and maintain non-destructive testing (NDT) procedures, tools, and standards.
  • Provide technical guidance, mentoring, and training to internal and external stakeholders.

Required Qualifications
  • Bachelor's degree in Aeronautical Engineering, Aerospace Engineering, Mechanical Engineering, Electrical Engineering, Systems Engineering, Computer Engineering, or Electrical Engineering Technology.
  • 5+ years of experience designing structural and electrical rework/repairs for aircraft systems.
  • Previous Commercial Material Review experience with Boeing or airline operators.
  • Experience investigating and resolving aircraft product and process issues.
  • Strong understanding of engineering drawings, specifications, and repair documentation.

Preferred Qualifications
  • 8+ years of experience in avionics troubleshooting, aircraft electrical systems, or wire bundle installations.
  • Experience creating and interpreting engineering drawings, specifications, and design manuals.
  • Experience performing root cause analysis and developing dispositions for non-conformances.
  • Experience identifying and implementing product/process improvement opportunities.
  • Materials Review Board (MRB) or Universal Product Review (UPR) approval authority certification.
  • Experience with executive interior installations and aircraft modifications.
  • Wide-body aircraft modification and repair experience.

Education / Experience
Bachelor's degree in Aeronautical Engineering, Aerospace Engineering, Mechanical Engineering, Electrical Engineering, Systems Engineering, Computer Engineering, or Electrical Engineering Technology with typically 5+ years of related experience, or an equivalent combination of education and experience.
