Position Summary

We are seeking a Product Development Coordinator to support multi-category seasonal product development across licensed and private label programs for mass market and specialty retail.

This role supports the development process from concept through production, coordinating samples, approvals, timelines, and communication with internal teams and overseas vendors.

Our ideal candidate is organized, detail-oriented, and interested in new products, trends, materials, and retail assortments.


Responsibilities

  • Support development of seasonal products across multiple categories and seasons.
  • Track development timelines, approvals, and production milestones.
  • Review samples and prepare detailed sample comments and revision notes for factories.
  • Maintain product specifications, development documents, and sample records.
  • Communicate daily with overseas vendors and factory partners.
  • Coordinate sample shipments, approvals, and product updates.
  • Assist with trend research, competitive shopping, and product inspiration.
  • Organize product reviews, line reviews, and internal presentations.
  • Partner with design, sourcing, merchandising, and production teams to keep projects moving on schedule.
  • Help ensure products meet retailer requirements, cost targets, and quality standards.


Qualifications

  • 3+ years of experience in product development coordination – licensed and private brands - for major retailers.
  • Experience working with overseas factories
  • Experience with wide range of consumer products [small soft/hard goods.]
  • Understanding of seasonal product categories.
  • Experience reviewing product samples and communicating revisions clearly.
  • Strong organizational and follow-up skills.
  • Ability to manage multiple projects and deadlines simultaneously.


Preferred Experience

  • Gift, novelty, home, accessories, or impulse product categories
  • Packaging product experience – packaging, pdqs, pallets.
