Job description

About the Company
Rain makes the next generation of payments possible across the globe. We're a lean and mighty team of passionate builders and veteran founders. Our infrastructure makes stablecoins usable in the real-world by powering card transactions, cross-border payments, B2B purchases, remittances, and more. We partner with fintechs, neobanks, and institutions to help them launch solutions that are global, inclusive, and efficient. You will have the opportunity to deliver massive impact at a hypergrowth company that is funded by some of the top investors in fintech, crypto, and SaaS, including Sapphire Ventures, Norwest, Galaxy Ventures, Lightspeed, Khosla, and several more. If you're curious, bold, and excited to help shape a borderless financial future, we'd love to talk.
Our Ethos
We believe in an open and flat structure. You will be able to grow into the role that most aligns with your goals. Our team members at all levels have the freedom to explore ideas and impact the roadmap and vision of our company.
About the Role
Rain is hiring a Senior Product Operations Manager to be the connective tissue across product, engineering, partnerships, and our fintech, neobank, and institutional customers. As Rain scales, the difference between a good product org and a great one is the rigor of the operating system underneath it - how partner feedback gets in, how decisions get made, how launches land, and how the whole machine compounds.
This is a senior individual contributor role. You'll own the product operating system end to end: the rituals, the launch motion, the partner feedback loops, the tooling, and the cross-functional surfaces that make the rest of the team faster and sharper. You'll work directly with PMs, engineering, partnerships, support, compliance, and our largest external partners.
What You'll Do
โ€ข Own the product operating cadence - planning, prioritization, roadmap reviews, launch reviews, and the rituals that keep a fast-moving product org aligned
โ€ข Run the launch motion end to end across cards, payments, and platform - readiness, partner enablement, internal rollout, support and CX prep, and post-launch measurement
โ€ข Build and run the partner feedback loop - capture input from our fintech, neobank, and institutional partners across channels, synthesize it, and turn it into prioritized product signal
โ€ข Stand up the tooling, dashboards, and documentation that make product operations leveraged - partner trackers, release notes, status comms, internal knowledge bases
โ€ข Partner with PMs to scope and ship cross-functional initiatives that touch support, compliance, partnerships, and finance, and own the seams between teams
โ€ข Drive the operational excellence that scales a product org - metrics hygiene, postmortems, decision logs, and the institutional muscle that compounds quarter over quarter
โ€ข Identify and remove friction wherever you find it - process, tooling, communication, decision-making - and raise the bar for how the team operates
What We're Looking For
โ€ข 5-8 years of product operations, program management, chief-of-staff, or strategy & operations experience, with a track record of building operational excellence inside a product-led company with a strong engineering culture and high bar for quality
โ€ข Exceptional product judgment and operating instincts - you're someone others describe as one of the sharpest operators they've worked with, and you consistently raise the bar for the people around you
โ€ข A senior, autonomous operator who can define the problem, drive the plan, and own the outcome without needing close direction
โ€ข Strong technical fluency (APIs, payments systems, blockchain concepts) and the instinct to pull on technical threads yourself rather than defer to engineering or product
โ€ข Genuinely excited to live in the details - you believe operational excellence is won in the specifics and are energized by the work to get them right
โ€ข Excellent written and verbal communication; you can operate with sophisticated external partners, internal engineering teams, and executive stakeholders with equal ease
โ€ข Proven ability to ship cross-functional initiatives quickly, measure their impact, and iterate in a fast-moving environment
Nice to Have, But Not Mandatory
โ€ข Experience operating inside a product org shipping cards, payments, or cross-border fintech products
โ€ข Exposure to stablecoins, crypto, or smart contract ecosystems
โ€ข Previous startup or hypergrowth environment experience
โ€ข Experience standing up product ops as a function from early days
Things that enable a fulfilling, healthy, and happy experience at Rain:
โ€ข Unlimited time off Unlimited vacation can be daunting, so we require Rainmakers to take at least 10 days off.
โ€ข Flexible working We support a flexible workplace. If you feel comfortable at home, please work from home. If you'd like to work with others in an office, feel free to come in. We want everyone to be able to work in the environment in which they are their most confident and productive selves. New Rainmakers will receive a stipend to create a comfortable home environment.
โ€ข Easy to access benefits For US Rainmakers, we offer comprehensive health, dental, and vision plans for you and your dependents, as well as a 100% company subsidized life insurance plan.
โ€ข Retirement goals Plan for the future with confidence. We offer a 401(k) with a 4% company match.
โ€ข Equity plan We offer every Rainmaker an equity option plan so we can all benefit from our success.
โ€ข Rain Cards We want Rainmakers to be knowledgeable about our core products and services. To support this mission, we issue a card for our team to use for testing.
โ€ข Health and Wellness High performance begins from within. Rainmakers are welcome to use their card for eligible health and wellness spending like gym memberships/fitness classes, massages, acupuncture - whatever recharges you!
โ€ข Team summits Summits play an important role at Rain! Time spent together helps us get to know each other, strengthen our relationships, and build a common destiny. Expect team and company off-sites both domestically and internationally.
