Job description

Product Manager Consultant
The Business Unit Control team is responsible for observing and analyzing P&L, risk, pricing processes, and financing. This Product Manager Consultant role will be primarily responsible for leading medium- and long-term product development initiatives focused on strategic platforms and workflows supporting P&L, financing, valuation, and reporting processes. The consultant will help drive execution across these initiatives, including requirements gathering, cross-functional coordination, testing, rollout, and platform enhancements, and will be expected to get up to speed quickly, operate independently, and partner closely with business stakeholders, business analysts, and development teams.
Principal Responsibilities
  • Lead the end-to-end product development lifecycle for new and existing strategic platforms, from problem definition and requirements gathering through implementation, testing, rollout, and post-deployment enhancement.
  • Define business priorities, write business and functional specifications, manage execution timelines, and drive delivery across multiple concurrent initiatives.
  • Translate complex business problems into clear product requirements and scalable solutions, with a focus on building tools, workflows, and infrastructure that improve control, transparency, and operating efficiency.
  • Partner cross-functionally with business stakeholders, business analysts, and development teams to design, prioritize, and deliver product enhancements and new capabilities.
  • Act as the primary driver of project execution, proactively managing risks, dependencies, and open items are proactively identified and managed.
  • Organize and oversee user acceptance testing, validation, and implementation activities to ensure solutions meet business needs and are deployed effectively.
  • Drive continuous improvement across processes and platforms by identifying opportunities for automation, workflow optimization, and better data capture and reporting.

Qualifications/Skills Required
  • 7+ years of experience in product management or product development.
  • Strong product development skillset, including requirements definition, workflow design, prioritization, roadmap management, testing, and release execution.
  • Demonstrated ability to work independently, manage projects with minimal oversight, and drive outcomes across multiple stakeholders and workstreams.
  • Ability to learn new business domains quickly and operate effectively across different product, process, and functional areas.
  • Experience building or enhancing platforms, tools, or workflows within valuation, P&L, reporting, financing, or related control functions preferred.
  • Strong analytical and problem-solving skills, with the ability to use data to validate requirements, support decision-making, and ensure quality of implementation.
  • Excellent project management skills, including ownership of timelines, deliverables, dependencies, and stakeholder communication.
  • Outstanding verbal and written communication skills, with the ability to interact effectively with individuals at all levels.
  • Experience with Product Control, valuation, P&L, NAV, or related financial reporting processes preferred.

This is a contract role with no defined end date and will continue based on business needs.
The estimated base salary range for this position is $160,000 to $250,000, which is specific to New York and may change in the future. Millennium pays a total compensation package which includes a base salary, discretionary performance bonus, and a comprehensive benefits package. When finalizing an offer, we take into consideration an individual's experience level and the qualifications they bring to the role to formulate a competitive total compensation package.
