Job description

Cook Solutions Group, listed as a 100 Best Companies to Work for, is looking for a Full-Time Service Apprentice with excellent customer service, communication, and time management skills, a professional attitude and appearance, and the ability to integrate into our "We Make It Happen!" culture. The Service Apprentice will work onsite, under close supervision of the Lead Service Technician. Responsibilities include, but are not limited to, installing wires and equipment, responding to service calls, conducting site surveys, performing installation startup, system commissioning, and customer training.
Location: Salt Lake City, UT
Pay Range: $18 - $24 Hour
What you'll do:
Duties and Responsibilities
  1. Assist with installs/services electronic and physical security products.
  2. Assist assigned lead technician with installs and continues in the field education and training.
  3. Installs and wires electronic equipment used in systems.
  4. Accounts for all installation tools/equipment and all job parts/inventory.
  5. Tests all installed/serviced equipment to ensure proper performance and compliance with customers� requirements.
  6. Communicates important project status information to management and customers as necessary (installation or service).
  7. Conducts site surveys upon request of management.
  8. Completes and turns in all required paperwork in a timely manner according to established procedures and deadlines, i.e. timesheets, expense reports, change orders, equipment transfers, etc.
  9. Assists in maintaining assigned truck stock inventory in an organized manner.
  10. Assists in keeping assigned vehicle clean inside and out.
  11. Coordinates and ensures vehicle is maintained according to established standards.
  12. Maintains clean driving record and operates company vehicles using safe driving practices.
  13. Performs other related duties as assigned.

What you'll bring:
High School Diploma or GED equivalent
Valid driver's license and clean driving record required
Customer service experience is preferred.
Ability to travel for up to a week.
Ability to lift to 75 lbs.
