Job description

PROJECT MANAGER – Site Development  

Location: Wasatch County, Utah 

Employment Type: Full-Time 

We are seeking an experienced and driven Project Manager to join our team. This role involves overseeing all phases of heavy civil construction including mass excavation, utility installation, and road grading. The Project Manager will work closely with our Project Superintendents to ensure projects are completed on time, within budget, and to the highest standards. 
 
In this role, you will manage multiple projects simultaneously, assign tasks to project management teams and subcontractors, coordinate daily operations, and regularly report on progress, costs, and timelines. Strong communication, attention to detail, and a deep understanding of site development work are essential. 

Responsibilities 

  • Manage and coordinate all phases of the site development project 

  • Organize and plan project tasks, timelines, and deliverables 

  • Submit weekly project schedules and look-aheads 

  • Produce weekly cost reports and job projections 

  • Track daily progress and oversee quality control on site 

  • Monitor and manage subcontractors, vendors, and crews 

  • Communicate with owners, engineers, and internal teams to ensure alignment 

  • Manage change orders, project documentation, and inspections 

  • Ensure compliance with safety standards and company policies 

  • Keep teams focused on project goals and milestones 

  • Proactively solve problems and adjust plans as needed 

Qualifications 

  • 5+ years of experience in construction project management 

  • Background in heavy civil, site development, or utility installation required 

  • Demonstrated ability to manage multiple construction projects 

  • Strong understanding of budgeting, scheduling, and forecasting 

  • Excellent leadership, organizational, and communication skills 

  • Proficiency with project management tools and software such as: Microsoft office, Procore, Bluebeam, and Busybusy (preferred)  

  • Bachelor’s degree in construction management, engineering, or a related field preferred
