Job description

The AWS Product Acceleration (PA) team is seeking an experienced Business Development Manager to lead product-strategy engagements with Chief Product Officers (CPOs) and product leaders of GovTech and EdTech software companies. In this role, you will translate customer roadmap challenges into actionable, AWS-powered plans and drive the change management required to help organizations adopt artificial intelligence (AI) across their product development organizations.
The ideal candidate brings instant executive credibility, built on a track record of shipping innovative products that gained strong adoption with regulated public sector end-customers. You are equally comfortable painting the big picture in a boardroom and following up on deliverables with the customer to ensure momentum. You bring sharp business judgment, knowing where to invest time and resources. You have a genuine curiosity about AI and have real, hands-on experience with its implications on development life cycles, use cases, and business growth.
Day to day, you will create and qualify opportunities that drive mutual growth through product innovation, synthesize market and technology trends into digestible insights for customers and internal stakeholders, and proactively research companies to prototype new ideas. This is a role for someone who thrives at the intersection of product strategy, customer obsession, and emerging technology.
A day in the life
You start your morning leading a discovery session with a customer CPO whose board has mandated new AI-driven product innovation. Next, you align with an AWS account team on how to position Product Acceleration for a new customer engagement. After that, you escalate a key risk you identified that is jeopardizing a customer's product launch timeline and secure the right resources to unblock progress. In between meetings, you update your pipeline to keep opportunities moving and priorities clear. You wrap up the day finalizing the workshop you're delivering tomorrow to help a customer turn ideas into working prototypes.
About the team
The PA team focuses primarily on the needs of CPOs at GovTech and EdTech software companies. We earn trust by working directly with product leaders and their teams to help them innovate faster. PA sits at the intersection of a customer's product strategy, engineering execution, and growth ambitions. Our goal: make AWS the first call that product leaders make when they're deciding what to build next and how to ship it faster.
Diverse Experiences
AWS values diverse experiences. Even if you do not meet all of the preferred qualifications and skills listed in the job description, we encourage candidates to apply. If your career is just starting, hasn't followed a traditional path, or includes alternative experiences, don't let it stop you from applying.

BASIC QUALIFICATIONS
- 5+ years of Go-To-Market, Business Development, Sales, or Consulting experience

- Experience developing strategies that influence leadership decisions at the organizational level
- Experience managing programs across cross functional teams, building processes and coordinating release schedules
- Experience presenting to both technical and non-technical executive audiences
- Experience in customer-facing product development and product management, including defining, launching, and optimizing product and services
PREFERRED QUALIFICATIONS
- Experience interpreting data and making business recommendations across leadership and cross-functional teams
