We're seeking an Expert Designer, NSW Modern Footwear Product Design Create to push the boundaries of sport and culture. You thrive in collaboration, seamlessly translating between our world and external partners to deliver something entirely new.
WHAT YOU WILL WORK ON
Nike NSW Lab sits at the intersection of sport, culture, and innovation. Our team's focus is creating the future of Nike Sportswear and creating modern icons.
You'll be at the intersection of newness and energy, balancing the bold with the brand's priorities. You'll craft footwear that fuses worlds, ensuring each design is both visionary and commercially viable. From concept to execution, you'll shape every detail, construction, form, fit, performance, while considering cost, sustainability, and manufacturability. Your work will inspire and elevate, driving the future of footwear.

You'll collaborate with some of the most innovative minds, external partners, internal designers, developers, product managers, and engineers. Bringing fresh ideas to life from brief to market. You'll align visions, refine concepts, and lead conversations that push boundaries. As a key voice in the creative process, you'll inspire both teams and communities, championing innovation at every step.

WHAT YOU BRING
  • Bachelor's degree in design or a related field. Will accept any suitable combination of education, experience and training.
  • 8plus years of experience designing and developing innovative footwear and other products preferred
  • Knowledge of form, color, materials, human factors, related to elevating the consumer experience
  • Ability to translate consumer knowledge and insights into product solutions and narratives
  • Experience in technical footwear design
  • Strong Photoshop, Illustrator skills
  • Must be able to build accurate 2D technical drawings (tech packs)
  • Cobbling and prototyping skills are a plus
  • 3D design programs experience is a plus
  • Strong sketching, illustration, and rendering skills
  • Solid knowledge of manufacturing processes and materials
  • Must be able to generate a broad range of concepts and solutions for each project
  • Experienced with presentation programs: Keynote, PowerPoint, Acrobat, etc.
  • Positive personality and energy
  • Contribute and align to shared team culture and behaviors
  • Catalyst to make connections with other Design groups
  • Lead + drive partnerships beyond the Design function (Marketing, Engineering, Development, etc.)
  • Motivated and hardworking about bringing others along
