The Product Design Lead will be responsible for overseeing the design of a new proprietary software platform to be utilized by research scientists across the country. This role requires deep expertise in human-centered design, combined with a strong understanding of agile methodologies and product management skills, to create user-focused, effective, and innovative products. The expert will work closely with cross-functional teams to ensure that design solutions are both user-centric and technologically optimized, while also navigating federal regulations and requirements. A government clearance is required or must be obtained for this position.

The Work:

  • Apply advanced human-centered design methodologies to agile product development, ensuring that solutions are tailored to meet the needs and preferences of federal users
  • Establish project design SOPs and artifacts for the team, including wireframes and mockups, a full design system, site map, and approval processes
  • Facilitate design workshops and sprint planning sessions to ensure that user-centered design is incorporated into the agile process
  • Collaborate with cross-functional teams, including developers, stakeholders, and federal clients, to ensure alignment on design goals and project objectives
  • Communicate design concepts, rationale, and recommendations clearly and effectively to both technical and non-technical audiences

Here's What You Need:

  • Bachelor's degree or equivalent experience 
  • 7+ years of experience designing digital products or services in consulting, in-house, or agency environments
  • Experience leading custom full life cycle design and build efforts
  • Strong foundation in human-centered design principles, UX, and interaction design principles for browser-based, native application, and platform experiences
  • Experience working across the product lifecycle, from discovery through delivery and iteration
  • Proficiency with modern design and prototyping tools (e.g., Figma, Sketch, Framer)
  • Experience collaborating with engineering and product teams in agile or iterative delivery models
  • Ability to communicate design intent and tradeoffs clearly to diverse stakeholders, including non-design audiences

Bonus points if you have:  

  • Experience working in product design for a Fortune 500 company
  • Experience with HTML or CSS

The base pay range for this position in these locations is shown below. Compensation for roles at Accenture Federal Services varies depending on a wide array of factors, including but not limited to office location, role, skill set, and level of experience.
