WAREHOUSE MANAGER# WAREHOUSE MANAGERWH54 - Sparks, NV 89434## OverviewPosition TypeFull TimeJob ShiftFull-Time## Description**Reports To:** Regional Manager**POSITION SUMMARY:** The Warehouse Manager is responsible for the overall success of more than one warehouse operation through the accurate and safe receipt, storage, retrieval and timely dispatch of customer products and goods. This role is focused on providing our customers an exemplary level of service by driving inventory accuracy, warehouse organization, task-prioritization, and staff leadership.**ESSENTIAL DUTIES AND RESPONSIBILITIES:*** Motivates, organizes and encourages teamwork within the workforce to ensure set productivity targets are met* Training staff and monitoring their performance, progress, and service levels.* Responsible for general administrative duties such as providing timely responses to inquiries, timecard management and submittal, coordination of supplies with Purchasing Department, submittal of expense reimbursements for approval, etc.* Responsible for hiring, onboarding, daily management, performance management, promotion/demotion, coaching and discipline processes for assigned employees up to and including termination.* Identifies key team members that can be cross-trained for promotion opportunities. Actively โ€œbuilds their benchโ€ so associates are ready for next opportunities as our organization grows.* Partners cross-functionally to mobilize resources and aligns around the common goal of obsession with superior customer service.* Promotes SOPs, follows processes and drives high attention to detail to ensure customer needs are met/exceeded on a daily basis.* Partners with internal departments to investigate and resolve customer concerns, resolve open operational tickets and support general inquiries.* Oversees customer inventories, monitoring orders and processing shipments.* Ensures quality, delivery and budget objectives are met/exceeded.* Continuously drives profitability and generates revenue by identifying and eliminating non-value-added activities and recognizing missed opportunities.* Assists in the development of, and ongoing recommendations for, warehouse design by planning layout, product flow, and product handling systems, evaluating and recommending new equipment.* Develops and provides ongoing recommendations for warehouse operations system improvements by analyzing process workflow, manning and space requirements, and equipment layout; subsequently implements applicable changes.* Assesses, analyzes and interprets quantitative and qualitative metrics to determine current and future state of warehouse productivity and determine improvement opportunities.* Produces regular reports and statistics on a daily, weekly and monthly basis as directed.* Delivers and fulfills objectives and executes directives from leadership team.* Oversees and manages customer communication by email and telephone.* Manages and coordinates on-site visits for current and potential customers. Completes other duties as assigned.## Qualifications**โ€œTHE PERSONโ€ | MINIMUM REQUIREMENTS*** Bachelor's Degree or equivalent combination of core education and related professional experience.* 5+ years of industry work experience; two years of specific warehouse experience with proven results; supply chain experience required.* Advanced service, production, or supervisory role having greater responsibility to perform all (or most) of the standard work required within the function.* Personnel management and supervisory experience required.* Prior experience of Domestic and International services within the logistics industry.* Experience leveraging technology to perform daily tasks, including strong familiarity with MS.* Office applications (in particular Exchange, Word & Excel), web navigation & basic hardware.* Prior use with PO system, enterprise sourcing and/or inventory oversight for multiple locations.* Ability to travel 10%.**KEY ATTRIBUTES:*** Strong oral and written communication.* Strong problem solving and interpersonal skills.* Ability to quickly build rapport with both customer and Smart Warehousing business units.**PHYSICAL OR MENTAL DEMANDS:**While performing the duties of this position the employee is regularly required to see, hear, talk, write, read, stand, walk, bend over, and be alert at all times. The employee is frequently required to use hands to type, handle or feel and reach with hands and arms. While infrequent, employee may need to visit warehouse locations in which employee may need to lift, push, and pull up to 20 pounds.
