Material Handler / Picker Packer
Location: Reno, NV
Pay Rate: $19.00 per hour
Schedule: Morning Shift | Monday through Friday | 9:00 AM - 5:30 PM

We are seeking a reliable and detail-oriented Material Handler to support warehouse, manufacturing, and packaging operations. This position plays a critical role in receiving, storing, moving, picking, packing, and distributing materials while maintaining high standards of safety, quality, and inventory accuracy.

Position Summary
The Material Handler is responsible for the accurate receipt, safe storage, movement, and distribution of raw materials, packaging components, and finished goods. This role supports efficient production flow, inventory accuracy, and compliance with company quality and safety standards.
Key Responsibilities
Material Receiving & Inventory Control
  • Receive incoming materials and verify quantities and condition.
  • Complete receiving documentation and generate barcode labels.
  • Enter inventory information into warehouse management systems.
  • Organize and store materials in designated warehouse locations.
  • Support inventory counts, audits, and inventory accuracy initiatives.
Picking, Packing & Shipping
  • Pick, pack, and prepare orders for shipment according to established procedures.
  • Prepare finished goods for warehouse storage and distribution.
  • Ensure products are handled according to cold chain requirements when necessary.
  • Accurately label, stage, and prepare materials for transportation.
Production Support
  • Deliver materials and components to manufacturing and packaging lines.
  • Assist with maintaining efficient material flow throughout operations.
  • Support production teams to ensure continuous workflow.
Equipment Operation
  • Safely operate pallet jacks and other material handling equipment.
  • Perform routine equipment inspections and report any issues.
  • Follow all warehouse safety procedures and operating guidelines.
Safety & Compliance
  • Follow all safety, sanitation, and quality requirements.
  • Maintain a clean, organized, and safe work environment.
  • Adhere to company policies, SOPs, and applicable regulations.
  • Assist with transportation documentation and compliance requirements as needed.
Warehouse Environment
  • Fast-paced warehouse and production setting.
  • Frequent picking, packing, and material movement activities.
  • Work may include exposure to cold storage areas and refrigerated products.
  • Ability to stand, walk, bend, lift, and move materials throughout the shift.
Qualifications
Required
  • High school diploma or GED.
  • 1-3 years of warehouse, logistics, shipping/receiving, or material handling experience.
  • Basic computer and data entry skills.
  • Strong attention to detail and organizational skills.
  • Basic math and communication skills.
  • Ability to work independently and as part of a team.
Preferred
  • Experience with inventory management systems.
  • Previous experience in manufacturing, distribution, food production, pharmaceutical, or cold storage environments.
  • Experience operating powered industrial trucks (PIT) or other warehouse equipment.
Pay Details: $19.00 per hour
