Purchasing Manager - Engineering, Procurement & Construction (EPC)

EnergyLink, a Quanta Services company, is seeking a Purchasing Manager to lead procurement teams supporting large-scale utility and infrastructure construction projects nationwide.
This role oversees high-volume, high-impact purchasing activities from planning through delivery, ensuring materials and services are sourced efficiently and align with project schedules, budgets, and execution goals.
The ideal candidate is a strong people leader who can develop procurement talent, drive accountability, optimize processes, and partner with project teams to deliver successful EPC outcomes.

What You'll Do
  • Lead, mentor, and develop a team of Buyers to drive procurement performance, project support, and operational excellence.
  • Develop and execute purchasing strategies aligned with EPC project schedules, budgets, engineering requirements, and construction needs.
  • Drive strategic sourcing initiatives that improve cost, supplier performance, and supply chain reliability.
  • Manage supplier selection, negotiations, contracts, and ongoing vendor relationships to support quality and on-time delivery.
  • Partner with Project Management, Engineering, Logistics, and Operations teams to ensure materials are available when needed to maintain project schedules.
  • Monitor supplier performance, resolve issues, and implement solutions to mitigate risk and prevent project delays.
  • Ensure procurement activities align with company policies, contract requirements, and industry standards.
  • Analyze procurement metrics, identify process improvements, and implement cost-saving opportunities.

What You'll Bring
  • 5+ years of progressive experience in procurement, purchasing, or supply chain leadership.
  • Proven experience leading and developing Buyer teams while building strong supplier relationships.
  • Experience supporting EPC, utility, energy, or infrastructure projects preferred.
  • Strong understanding of procurement processes including sourcing, supplier management, negotiations, and project support.
  • Experience using ERP systems (JDE or similar) and procurement platforms.
  • Ability to collaborate effectively with Engineering, Project Management, Operations, and Field teams to support project execution.
Education
  • Bachelor's degree in Supply Chain Management, Business, Engineering, Construction Management, or related field preferred; equivalent experience considered.
