We are looking for a strategic and focused Purchasing Manager to lead procurement operations in Ohio. This position oversees sourcing decisions, supplier partnerships, cost planning, and day-to-day purchasing performance while working closely with cross-functional teams. The ideal candidate brings strong leadership skills and a practical approach to improving purchasing efficiency, supporting business goals, and guiding a high-performing team.
Responsibilities:
• Develop and manage purchasing plans that align inventory needs, budget targets, and operational priorities.
• Build strong relationships with suppliers, negotiate terms, and evaluate vendor performance to support quality, service, and cost expectations.
• Direct daily procurement activities, ensuring materials and services are acquired accurately and on schedule.
• Partner with internal departments to understand demand, coordinate purchasing needs, and resolve supply-related issues.
• Analyze market conditions and pricing trends to support cost-effective buying decisions and long-term sourcing strategies.
• Lead, coach, and support purchasing staff by setting clear expectations and encouraging growth.
• Monitor purchasing processes and recommend improvements that increase efficiency, consistency, and accountability.
• Maintain accurate purchasing records, oversee compliance with company policies, and support effective supplier management practices.• Proven experience managing purchasing or procurement operations in a leadership capacity.
• Strong knowledge of sourcing methods, vendor negotiations, and materials purchasing processes.
• Ability to evaluate pricing, control costs, and make sound purchasing decisions based on business needs.
• Experience collaborating with multiple departments in a fast-paced operational environment.
• Demonstrated success supervising, mentoring, and developing team members.
• Excellent organizational skills with strong attention to detail and follow-through.
• Effective communication and relationship-building skills with internal stakeholders and external suppliers.
