Summary:
The Inventory Control/Buyer position will use their skills and experience with industrial products, sourcing and purchasing processes will ensure product availability from optimal sources, accurate inventories, and world-class service levels as we provide industrial distribution service support to our customers.


Responsibilities of the Inventory Control Buyer include, but are not limited to:

  • Execute, monitor, and expedite purchase orders
  • Inventory control
  • Sourcing product
  • Maintenance of items in inventory management system
  • Complete and Monitor reports including inventory, procurement, and supplier performance metrics. Provide improvement recommendations
  • Monitor quality and delivery performance of suppliers
  • Participate in Supplier performance reviews
  • Investigation and reconciliation of inventory and reports
  • Annual Inventory Process and Reporting
  • Participate in Special Projects as directed
  • Other duties as assigned by manager

Qualifications of the Inventory Control Buyer include, but are not limited to:

  • 2 -5 years inventory/cycle counting experience required
  • Must have good organizational and problem-solving skills
  • 2-5 years purchasing experience
  • Inventory Management
  • Good analytical and math skills
  • Proficiency with computers, specifically Microsoft Office Suite: Word and Excel
  • Possess great interpersonal and motivational skills
  • Able to multi-task and work independently
  • Excellent written and oral communication skills
Additional Information:
  • Physical Demand: A physical and drug screen are required, standing/sitting for extended periods of time, able to lift 50 lbs.
