Job description

Procurement Specialist – Direct Procurement Operations (Onsite – Tucson, AZ)

Location: Tucson, AZ (Marana & Oro Valley Sites)
Work Type: Hybrid – Onsite 3 days per week (Tues & Thurs at Oro Valley, Wed at Marana)

 

Key Responsibilities

  • Execute direct procurement activities in alignment with category management strategies.
  • Manage supplier relationships, handle escalations, and ensure procurement compliance.
  • Support cost savings and continuous improvement initiatives.
  • Maintain and validate master data and procurement documentation.
  • Collaborate with stakeholders to translate business needs into purchasing requirements.
  • Utilize procure-to-pay (P2P) tools and enterprise procurement systems for daily operations.
  • Prepare reports and analyze data to drive sourcing decisions and performance improvements.
  • Participate in operational excellence initiatives and process standardization efforts.

Qualifications

  • Bachelor’s degree in Business, Supply Chain, or a related field (Master’s preferred).
  • 3+ years of procurement or purchasing experience, preferably in regulated industries (life sciences, healthcare, or pharma).
  • Experience with enterprise procurement systems (SAP Ariba, Oracle, or Coupa).
  • Knowledge of sourcing, contracting, and procure-to-pay (P2P) processes.
  • Strong analytical, problem-solving, and communication skills.
  • Ability to work independently across multiple sites (Marana and Oro Valley).

Preferred Qualifications

  • Experience with lab chemicals, medical, or clinical supplies.
