Starting Wage
The Opportunity
Hexion is seeking a results-driven operations leader to build and run a next-generation Digital Procurement Operations function (GCC Factory).
This leader will partner with the Head of AI Procurement Transformation to operationalize a new procurement model built on three pillars:
  1. Human Value Teams - focused on strategy, innovation, and risk shaping
  2. AI Layer - driving decision intelligence and automation
  3. Digital / GCC Factory - delivering scalable, efficient, and largely autonomous execution

Today, purchasing operations are heavily manual, fragmented, and reliant on outsourced support. The mandate is to industrialize and digitize execution, creating a high-performance, low-touch, exception-based operating engine.
The goal:
  • 70%+ touchless P2P
  • Significant reduction in cost per transaction
  • Faster cycle times and improved service levels
  • Clean, reliable data as the foundation for AI

This is not a traditional shared services role. The mission is to build a procurement operations engine that is digital-first, highly automated, and relentlessly focused on efficiency and reliability.
Key Responsibilities
Digital Operations & GCC Factory Leadership
  • Build and lead a Digital Procurement Operations "Factory" delivering end-to-end P2P services
  • Transition from manual, outsourced processes to standardized, automated workflows
  • Establish a high-throughput, low-touch operating model focused on speed, accuracy, and cost efficiency

Process Industrialization & Automation
  • Redesign P2P and transactional procurement processes for:
    • Touchless execution as default
    • Exception-based human intervention
  • Drive aggressive standardization across regions, categories, and business units
  • Deploy automation technologies (workflow, RPA, platform capabilities) to eliminate manual work

Service Delivery Excellence
  • Operate procurement services with clear:
    • SLAs
    • KPIs (cycle time, accuracy, cost per transaction)
  • Improve internal customer experience through:
    • Faster processing
    • Clear escalation paths
    • Consistent service quality

Data & Process Integrity
  • Ensure clean, structured, and reliable master data across procurement systems
  • Establish governance for data quality and process compliance
  • Enable real-time visibility into operational performance

Vendor & Ecosystem Management
  • Lead transition and optimization of outsourcing partners (e.g., CapGemini)
  • Renegotiate, restructure, or rebalance outsourced vs. in-house work
  • Build a scalable global delivery model leveraging internal and external resources

Partnership with AI Transformation
  • Partner closely with the Head of AI Procurement Transformation to:
    • Industrialize AI-enabled workflows
    • Scale successful use cases into standard operations
  • Ensure operational readiness for AI-driven processes

Team & Capability Building
  • Build a high-performing operations team with strong process and service orientation
  • Develop capabilities in automation, process excellence, and digital tools
  • Foster a culture of discipline, accountability, and continuous improvement

Minimum Qualifications
  • 12+ years of experience in procurement operations, shared services, or global business services
  • Proven track record of building or transforming P2P / procurement operations at scale
  • Experience leading GCC / shared services / outsourced delivery models
  • Strong background in process standardization, automation, and operational excellence
  • Demonstrated ability to reduce cost, improve cycle time, and increase automation levels
  • Experience managing vendor ecosystems and outsourcing partners
  • Strong operational leadership and execution focus

Preferred Qualifications
  • Experience implementing touchless or highly automated P2P environments
  • Familiarity with procurement platforms (SAP, Ariba, Coupa, etc.) and automation tools (RPA, workflow)
  • Lean / Six Sigma or similar process excellence background
  • Experience in private equity-backed or high-performance environments
  • Exposure to digital transformation initiatives in procurement or supply chain

What Success Looks Like - First 18 Months
Milestones and Timelines
  • Complete diagnostic of current P2P processes, cost, and outsourcing model - 90 days
  • Define and begin executing GCC / Digital Factory roadmap - 120 days
  • Reduce manual processing through automation and standardization - 9 months
  • Achieve 70%+ touchless P2P - 12 months
  • Deliver measurable reduction in cost per transaction and cycle time - 18 months

Compensation & Benefits
  • Competitive base salary commensurate with experience
  • Annual performance bonus tied to transformation milestones and savings delivery
  • Long-term incentive / equity participation
  • Comprehensive benefits package including health, dental, vision, 401(k) match
  • Relocation assistance available Shape

Why This Role Is Different
  • This is not a traditional operations leadership role focused on maintaining service levels.
  • Hexion is fundamentally redesigning procurement. This role is critical in ensuring that execution is:
  • digitized, not manual
