Job Description

The Director of Procurement must be an energetic, self-motivated, and innovative individual who shall possess the skills required to successfully lead and drive CRB's procurement organization including resources, systems, practices, procedures, for design services, construction services, sub-contracting, and equipment procurement.  S/he creates brand differentiation and pre-eminence for CRB in the market by working with teams to drive and support project estimating expertise, excellence, and standardization to create brand differentiation and pre-eminence in the market.   

Analysis of market and delivery conditions will be required to determine present and future material and subcontractor availability. If needed, the investigation, analysis, and interview of potential suppliers and subcontractor to determine manufacturing limitations, facilities, equipment, quality standards and experience will be executed. Fulfillment of purchasing recommendations for project procurement as needed. Maintenance of historical procurement information relating to equipment is necessary to provide to estimating department.  

Qualifications
  • College Degree in Construction Management, Engineering, Architecture or equivalent experience. 

  • 10+ years of experience in Architecture, Engineering, and/or Construction Industry 

  • Demonstrated success in managing architecture, engineering, and construction processes 

  • Integrated Project Delivery experience, a plus 

  • Experience in subcontracting and equipment purchasing and supply chain management 

  • Experience with online bidding systems is preferred, PMWeb a plus 

  • Experience with the following types of projects: 

  • Life Science Projects 

  • Industrial Projects 

  • Commercial Projects 

  • Understand project logistics and project schedules 

  • Able to organize, plan and manage multiple activities to accomplish desired results. 

  • Understanding standard design and construction scopes of work, drawings, work packages, etc.. 

  • Individual must be self-motivated and possess strong communication/interpersonal skills. 

  • Knowledge of procurement practices and procedures including software input and data manipulation utilizing procurement software to connect cost and schedule life-cycle data throughout all CRB operations 

  • Proficient in Microsoft Office (Excel, Access, Word, Outlook, PowerPoint)
