Procurement Analyst who's ready to support a modern, fast-growing purchasing environment. Duties and Responsibilities
The intent of this job description is to provide a representative summary of the major duties and responsibilities performed by employees in this job. Employees may be requested to perform job-related tasks other than those specifically presented in this description.
- Reviews, evaluates, and processes purchase requisitions and change orders to ensure accuracy and compliance with City, state, and federal purchasing requirements . Develop and manage informal and formal bid solicitations, including public bid openings, tabulations, renewals, and award recommendations.
- Prepares, manages and maintains catalogs in support of purchasing function and contracts; monitors catalog activity and functionality; monitors order processes and workflow to ensure efficiency; updates and maintains accuracy of data.
- Provides training and guidance to internal customers regarding procurement processes and system navigation, documentation requirements, and best practices.
- Supports the maintenance of supplier records, including registration, updates, TIN matching, and vendor communications.
- Provides professional support of functional activities which may include procurement card program administration; surplus equipment disposal; request for proposal process administration; accounts payable verification/reconciliation; and/or other related processes.
Typical Qualifications
Education and Experience:
Associate's Degree or 2 Years of College in Business Administration, Public Administration, Accounting, Finance or related field; 1 to 3 years' experience in procurement, purchasing, contract administration, or related work
OR
Any equivalent combination of training and/or experience that provides the required knowledge, skills and abilities may be substituted
Preferred Qualifications:
- Designation as a Certified Local Government Purchasing Officer (CLGPO) or similar public procurement certification
- Familiarity with PeopleSoft Financials or other enterprise procurement (e-Procurement) systems
