Overview

Motrex LLC is seeking a Data Analyst to support procurement, supply chain, and business decision-making through data-driven insights.

This role is responsible for collecting, integrating, validating, analyzing, and reporting data from multiple business systems to support procurement, sourcing, inventory, supplier management, and operational initiatives. The ideal candidate can transform complex and imperfect data into actionable insights, identify trends and opportunities, and develop reporting solutions that improve business performance.

Must be legally authorized to work in the United States without employer sponsorship now or at any time in the future.

This position requires work to be performed at the office location in Alpharetta, GA.

Responsibilities

Data Management & Quality

  • Extract, consolidate, and validate data from ERP systems, procurement platforms, financial systems, databases, and spreadsheets.
  • Identify and resolve data quality issues, including duplicate, missing, or inconsistent information.
  • Develop and maintain data cleansing, validation, and reconciliation processes.
  • Document data sources, definitions, business rules, and reporting methodologies.
  • Collaborate with IT and business stakeholders to improve data accuracy and accessibility.

Analytics & Insights

  • Analyze procurement, supplier, spend, pricing, inventory, and operational data to identify trends, risks, and cost-saving opportunities.
  • Perform spend analysis, supplier performance analysis, category reporting, and other procurement-focused analytics.
  • Conduct root-cause investigations and develop recommendations based on data findings.
  • Support strategic sourcing, budgeting, and operational improvement initiatives through analytical modeling and reporting.

Reporting & Visualization

  • Create and maintain dashboards, scorecards, and reports using Power BI, Tableau, or similar business intelligence tools.
  • Develop executive-level reporting and drill-down analysis capabilities.
  • Automate recurring reports and reduce reliance on manual spreadsheet processes.
  • Present findings and recommendations to procurement and cross-functional stakeholders.

Business Partnership

  • Partner with Procurement, Supply Chain, Operations, Finance, and IT to understand reporting and analytical requirements.
  • Translate business questions into analytical solutions and actionable insights.
  • Support continuous improvement initiatives related to data, reporting, and analytics processes.
  • Serve as a key resource for procurement and supply chain reporting and performance metrics.
  • Other duties as assigned.
Qualifications

Education, Skills, Experience

  • Preferred Bachelor's degree in Data Analytics, Business Analytics, Information Systems, Supply Chain, Finance, Statistics, Mathematics, or Engineering
  • 3+ years of experience in data analytics, business intelligence, procurement analytics, supply chain analytics, or a related discipline.
  • Advanced SQL skills and experience working with large, complex datasets.
  • Advanced Microsoft Excel skills, including Power Query, PivotTables, and data analysis techniques.
  • Experience creating dashboards and visualizations using Power BI, Tableau, or similar tools.
  • Preferred
    • Experience supporting procurement, strategic sourcing, supply chain, manufacturing, or distribution organizations.
    • Experience analyzing supplier spend, purchasing, pricing, inventory, or cost-variance data.
    • Experience with Coupa or similar procurement platforms.
    • Experience with ERP systems such as JD Edwards, IQMS, or comparable platforms.
    • Experience supporting mergers, acquisitions, or business integrations.

  • This position is performed in a professional office environment and requires regular onsite attendance. Employees primarily work at a desk using a computer, telephone, and other standard office equipment.
