REPORTS TO: Inventory & Procurement Manager
LOCATION: 3040 Dublin Circle, Bessemer, AL 35022
JOB TYPE: Full Time | Monday-Friday | 6:00AM-3:00PM

JOB OVERVIEW:
The Inventory & Procurement Associate will facilitate order placement and freight logistics of all stocked and special-order material requests from warehouse managers and account executives. This position will also be responsible for maintaining software databases related to the procurement process and assist in all aspects of inventory management from scheduling, monitoring regular cycle counts and reconciling physical inventories.
JOB RESPONSIBILITIES
  • Coordinate and ensure local cycle counts are completed and match system totals
  • Timely communication with warehouse and account executives on order status
  • Purchase stocked and special-order material
  • Logistics/freight coordination to the branches
  • Physical inventory reconciliation
  • Inventory file audits/consolidation
  • Facilitate branch-to-branch transfers
  • Daily Maintenance of the B2B/eCommerce Module and product file
  • Follow up on mill claims and process mill credits
  • Preform other duties assigned by management

QUALIFICATIONS
The Inventory & Procurement Associate role should possess the following qualifications:
  • Previous inventory control and inventory management experience.
  • Strong organization and time management skills.
  • Adaptability and multitasking skills to handle various responsibilities.
  • Adherence to company policies, procedures, and regulatory requirements related to inventory and procurement.
  • Ability to work collaboratively within the procurement team and cross-functionally with other departments.
  • Excellent verbal and written communication skills to interact professionally with internal stakeholders.
  • General computer and software skills (Gmail, Excel, Google Docs, etc.)
  • Ability to work independently as well as in a team.
  • Data analysis and compilation skills are a plus.
  • RFMS experience.
