Job description

Leading Industrial services and metals recycling company in Portage, IN is seeking an exceptionally strong Sourcing and Procurement person to join their team.

Report to the VP of Procurement this role will execute end-to-end purchasing activities for goods and services required to support operations.

Roles & Responsibilities:
  • Support day-to-day procurement for operations.
  • Direct end-to-end sourcing activities for categories such as lubricants, fuel, industrial gases and PPE.
  • Identify savings and broader value opportunities within supplier relationships and monitor assessment activities as part of the sourcing lifecycle.
  • Draft and review supplier contracts to ensure adherence to terms and conditions
  • Total Cost of Ownership (TCO) analysis.
  • Renewal contract negotiation - track contracts for renewals and expiries in advance to formulate appropriate supplier engagement strategies.
Skills:
  • Excellent written and verbal skills
  • Undergraduate Degree
  • 5+ years of experience in strategic sourcing, procurement, contract management, or vendor management in a heavy industrial environment
  • Demonstrated ability to manage multiple priorities simultaneously and make priority calls as necessary.
  • Comfortable working with all levels of the organization,
  • Structured approach to completing work.
