Project Admin | Kansas City, MO Full-Time | Contract-to-Hire| $24-28ph. LHH is partnering with a well-established construction company in the KCMO area who is seeking a highly organized and detail-oriented Project Administrator to support project managers and field teams throughout the lifecycle of commercial construction projects. This position plays a critical role in coordinating project documentation, tracking key milestones, maintaining compliance records, and ensuring projects remain organized and on schedule. The ideal candidate thrives in a fast-paced construction environment, enjoys managing multiple priorities, and possesses exceptional communication and administrative skills. KEY RESPONSIBILITIES:
  • Provide administrative support to Project Managers and construction teams across multiple projects.
  • Manage project documentation, including contracts, submittals, RFIs, change orders, permits, closeout documents, and project correspondence.
  • Coordinate project setup, file management, and document control processes.
  • Track and maintain project logs, schedules, and status reports.
  • Assist with meeting coordination, agenda preparation, and distribution of meeting minutes.
  • Support project billing, purchase orders, and invoicing activities.
  • Coordinate communication between project managers, field personnel, subcontractors, vendors, and clients.
  • Monitor deadlines and ensure timely completion of project deliverables and documentation.
  • Assist with compliance and reporting requirements throughout the project lifecycle.
  • Maintain accurate project records and ensure information is updated in project management systems.
QUALIFICATIONS:
  • 2+ years of administrative, project coordination, or project support experience, preferably within construction, engineering, architecture, or related industries.
  • Strong understanding of construction documentation processes, including RFIs, submittals, change orders, and project closeouts.
  • Advanced proficiency with Microsoft Office Suite (Word, Excel, Outlook, Teams).
  • Experience with construction software such as Procore, Bluebeam, Sage, Viewpoint, CMiC, or similar is preferred.
  • Excellent organizational, multitasking, and time management skills.
  • Strong written and verbal communication abilities.
  • Ability to prioritize competing deadlines in a fast-paced environment.
  • High attention to detail and commitment to accuracy.
  • Commercial construction, industrial construction, or general contracting experience.
  • Exposure to project accounting, invoicing, or job cost tracking.
  • Experience supporting multiple project managers simultaneously.
Pay Details: $24.00 to $28.00 per hour
