Responsibilities for the Processing Associate include some of the following functions:

  • Provides friendly and courteous service in all interactions with customers.
  • Ensures racks are sorted by categories before rolling.
  • Inspecting clothes, linens, accessories and household goods
  • Classifying items based upon manufacturer, quality and condition levels.
  • Cleaning and preparing items for the sales floor
  • Sorting and pricing products
  • Tagging and rolling items to the sales floor
  • Regularly meets the production goals of the position as outlined by the company.
  • Moves the fully prices rack from the staging area to the sales floor.
  • Ensures the appropriate number of garments are hung on each rolling rack.
  • Keeping work area neat and clean
  • Working safely and efficiently

Qualifications:

  • Ability to concentrate and pay close attention to detail
  • Strong work ethic
  • Must be able to read, write and communicate with other team members.
  • Good eye-hand coordination to sort, grasp, color coordinate, and tag.
  • Able to understand and meet company policies, procedures and quotas
  • Track and record processing results to report to Production Manager
  • Demonstrated ability to multitask work assignments.
  • Enjoys a fast-paced work environment
  • Must be at least 18 years of age

Physical Requirements

  • Lifting and carrying 20 lbs.
  • Reaching overhead 60% of time
  • Pushing and pulling 4-6 lbs. of force (to push/pull up to 100 lbs. rolling rack)
  • Pushing and pulling 50% of time
  • Standing 100% of time
  • Repetitive use of hands 80% of time
  • Bending and crouching 50% of time
  • Grasping items with hands 100% of time

Working Conditions:

  • Exposure to periodic temperature fluctuations
  • Exposure to dust
  • Flexibility with schedule based up store needs and sale days
  • May be required to perform in an alternate role at the request of the supervisor

Education:

  • High School Degree, GED or equivalent work experiences.
