Job description

This position requires a Bachelors degree in engineering with a minimum of three years experience in a high volume manufacturing environment.
Cerro Wire LLC, a large wire and cable manufacturer with operations in Crothersville, IN, has an immediate opening for a Poocess Engineer who can operate in a high speed, high volume operation. Position requires persons who would enjoy working in a "traditional" manufacturing environment that is "hands on". Position requires strong communication skills, as there will be significant interaction with production employees, maintenance, and supervision/management.
Primary Responsibilities/Accountabilities Include:
  • Assist in problem solving relating to product/process systems.
  • Troubleshooting various electro-mechanical systems and machine centers.
  • Maintaining tooling inventory essential to the wire extrusion and copper drawing process.
  • Develop and/or update process parameters for manufacturing processes.
  • Assist in the development and implementation of new products, processes and systems.
  • Product quality verification checks.
  • Interfacing with various wire and cable industry vendors.
  • General focus on process improvement and cost savings projects.

Qualifications Required:
  • BS Degree in Engineering (Mechanical Preferred)
  • Excellent Microsoft Office skills (MS Word, MS Excel, MS Powerpoint)
  • Strong communication skills
  • Basic troubleshooting skills
  • Team first attitude with the ability to work and produce positive results independently
  • AutoCAD (with Inventor Professional) skills preferred
