We are currently hiring a Processing Assistant to join our growing firm. Training, flexible scheduling, friendly teammates, and a collaborative company culture will be offered. POSITION SUMMARY
The Processing Assistant performs various administrative duties supporting the firm's public accounting function. Those duties include, but are not limited to, assembling tax returns, processing forms, completing spreadsheets, and preparing reports and documents. The role will ensure that the final presentation of information and reports is accurate and complete, while meeting deadlines. The Processing Assistant will also serve as a backup for other office administration roles. Anyone performing in this role must have exceptional attention to detail and communication skills.
COMPENSATION & SCHEDULE
This is a seasonal, part-time position, with hours that vary depending on the office's workload. Compensation includes a competitive hourly rate. This role may require overtime hours periodically to complete special projects and during tax preparation season from February through April.
CORE OBJECTIVES
• Create and modify in a timely fashion a variety of accounting documents (financial statements, letters, tax returns, confirmations, and miscellaneous forms)
• Ability to review, proof, complete, and submit forms to company standards
• Ability to maintain paper and electronic filing systems for government, client, and firm records
• Check for correct spelling, grammar, and company formatting and review computations as necessary
• Complete W-2 and 1099 forms for employees of our clients
• Restock office supplies
