Friendship Hospital for Animals, a leading AAHA- accredited hospital located in Washington D.C. is seeking a veterinary sterile processing technician to support our thriving surgical service. About the role:
The Veterinary Sterile Processing Technician plays a vital role in supporting surgical services by ensuring all instruments, equipment, and supplies are properly cleaned, sterilized, and maintained. This position is responsible for decontaminating, assembling, wrapping, and sterilizing surgical instruments, monitoring sterilization processes, maintaining sterilization equipment, and managing sterile supply inventory. The technician follows strict infection control, safety, and regulatory protocols to maintain a safe, organized, and sterile environment for veterinary surgical procedures.
Schedule: Four 10-hour shifts M-F. This is a full-time position.

Qualifications
  • 1-2 years experience in sterile processing required
  • Certification (CRCST) from the HSPA or equivalent organization
  • Understands the importance and practice of sterility, good hygiene, and proper workflows.
  • Ability to master detailed information including instruments and protocols.
