Job description

Who We Are:
For over 35 years, ISC has provided safe, high quality electrical, instrumentation and controls solutions to global leading industrial manufacturers. With offices in Baton Rouge, Beaumont, Houston, Corpus Christi, and Columbus, as well as job sites around the country, ISC has grown our team as high as 3,000+ associates and offers full-service engineering, construction, and maintenance solutions throughout the United States.
The Position:
We are looking for a Process Safety Engineer with a wide variety of abilities that complements ISC's culture of integrity. The facilitator is responsible for leading PHAs and Layers of Protection Analysis (LOPA). The facilitator will prepare, facilitate, scribe and write reports and will be customer facing. The facilitator will work directly with the customer on technical items and must be able to communicate technical items in a clear and concise manner.
Applicants should have the ability to:
  • Ensure that PHA scenarios, consequences, safeguards, and recommendations are complete and correctly identified.
  • Able to select the PHA methodology based on the complexity of the process and hazards involved.
  • Able to read and interpret process and mechanical drawings, cause and effect charts, SAFE charts, etc.
  • Produce technical reports.
  • Able and comfortable to self-scribe.

Qualifications:
  • Bachelor's degree in Chemical Engineering or equivalent experience
  • 1+ Years in facilitating PHAs and LOPAs
  • 4+ Years of experience in the petrochemical industry
  • Certification in PHA or LOPA preferred
  • Experience in risk management software including PHA Pro and Stature.
