Job description

As a Sr. HSE Engineer here at Solstice Advanced Materials, you will be responsible for implementing and leading the site’s PSM and Loss Prevention programming. You will ensure the highest standards of HSEPSM for employees, compliance with all regulations and the implementation of safe work practices. You will report directly to our Solstice Advanced Materials PSM Manager and matrix to the Site HSE Manager, and you'll work out of our Baton Rouge, LA, location on an On-site work schedule.

In this role, you will impact our organization by developing and implementing comprehensive PSM programs that ensure compliance with regulations and industry standards, these will include a focus safe work practices. Your ability to collaborate with cross-functional teams and influence stakeholders will ensure that HSEPSM programming is integrated into business processes and decision-making, contributing to the overall success and reputation of our business as a responsible and sustainable organization. In this role, you will also be responsible for the implementation, planning and collaboration with the site locations.

Key Responsibilities
  • Implement and manage all aspects of process safety management, including compliance with applicable regulations, management of change, process hazard analysis, leading, organizing and supporting PHA, LOPA and other process safety modeling activities.
  • Implement all aspects of the Risk Management Plan (RMP), including compliance.
  • Ensure PHA on time revalidations, report development and timely issuance.
  • Maintain process safety dashboard tracking critical program execution, ensuring on time and effective performance for improvement actions projects and processes.
  • Complete reviews of scenarios and risk engineering to support design and implementation of PSM projects, including loss prevention, top risk, and PHA recommendation implementations.
  • Support continuously improving the HSE Management System and engineering practices.
  • Operating System tools to process improvement.
  • Drive a proactive PSM culture.
  • Support the implementation of SAM HSE Process Safety standards.
  • Lead projects to support PSM initiatives.
  • Provide technical assistance and Site compliance reviews, ensuring compliance to standards.
  • Be an effective coach and role model including Best Practice sharing.
  • Drive standard work and consistent and effective Risk Management processes.
  • Participate in Corporate and Divisional engagements and team projects.
  • Lead site in Business Continuity efforts and planning.
  • Facilitation and participation in Root Cause Analysis investigations
Qualifications You Must Have
  • Minimum of 3-5 years’ experience in a manufacturing or engineering role at a PSM covered site.
  • Strong background in PHA HAZOP methodologies and LOPA.
  • Experience leading complex Root Cause Analysis investigations.
  • Demonstrated project management skills.
  • Strong leadership acumen.

Compensation

The annual base salary range for this position is $115,740K - $144,675K. Please note that this salary information serves as a general guideline.
