The Maintenance Engineer role is directly responsible for supporting the maintenance organization. This role will support the maintenance organization with CMMS system oversight, drawing updates and redlines, and supporting the global mechanical integrity system.

What do we expect from you as a Maintenance Engineer?
  • Bachelor's degree in mechanical or other related engineering field; or 15+ years experience in lieu of degree
  • 1y+ years of experience using Computer Maintenance Management System (CMMS) SAP, MAXIMO, INFOR, ETC.)
  • 2y+ years of experience in an industrial related field.

What does your day look like?
Your core responsibilities are:
  • In close collaboration with the maintenance supervisor & technical manager, delivers KPI's to drive continuous improvement. The maintenance engineer will review the data with the Maintenance Supervisor and enact combined effort plans to improve:
    • Regulatory Compliance
    • Safety Compliance
    • Overall Work Order Completion
  • Analyses key maintenance performance KPI's (work order close out, time to repair, etc.) to understand trends and develop action plans where necessary.
  • Apply knowledge of general industry standards to improve equipment and organizational performance, as well as become fluent in the Vopak Standards
  • Delivers ownership of the mechanical integrity system:
    • Sets PM frequency and reviews all mechanical integrity inspection reports with the maintenance and operations teams to develop repair plans and improvements.
    • Participates in assessment team meetings for mechanical integrity of critical assets
    • Ensures regulatory, safety critical, and business critical assets are managed per the global mechanical integrity system.
  • Conduct and maintain equipment criticality assessments to ensure proper priority and critical nature of equipment is addressed
  • Conducts and Assists maintenance supervisor in root cause analysis on bad actor equipment:
    • Assist in developing low cost solutions
    • Assist in changes resulting in long term reliability improvements.
    • Use findings to inform the Sustaining Capex Program
  • Works with Vendors and Third parties to ensure proper equipment and continuous improvement of service.
  • Serves as the "super user" for the computerized maintenance system.
  • Accountable for product movement to ensure operations are consistently performed according to Vopak and customer standards.
  • Serves as Management of Change system owner. Ensures correct documentation & procedures are followed.
  • Updates or manages updates of drawings to be uploaded into the database.
  • Must be willing and able to perform all tasks and duties as assigned by the manager.
