Process Project Manager Jobs in Florida (NOW HIRING)

This position is based in Jacksonville, Florida. Candidates must currently reside in the Jacksonville area or be within a reasonable commuting distance. This is an on-site position and is not eligible for remote work. Relocation assistance is not available, and only local candidates will be considered.

Project Managers are responsible for the successful leadership and execution of large-scale, complex construction projects from pre-construction through completion. This role oversees all phases of project delivery, ensuring projects are completed safely, on schedule, within budget, and in alignment with company standards and client expectations. This position is responsible for managing projects of increased size, complexity, and risk while providing strategic leadership to project teams, clients, subcontractors, and internal stakeholders. This position requires extensive construction knowledge, strong leadership capabilities, and the ability to navigate complex project challenges while driving successful outcomes.

• Successfully performs all responsibilities of the Project Manager role while taking on additional leadership, mentorship, and advanced project management responsibilities associated with large-scale and complex construction projects.
• Leads the planning, execution, and successful completion of large commercial construction projects with significant scope, budget, schedule, and stakeholder requirements.
• Provides strategic oversight and direction throughout all phases of construction, including pre-construction, procurement, execution, and project closeout.
• Provides mentorship, guidance, and development opportunities to Project Managers, Assistant Project Managers, and field personnel.
• Leads project teams by establishing clear expectations, accountability, and solutions-focused problem solving.
• Trains and supports project teams and field personnel to ensure consistent execution of company standards and best practices.
• Possesses advanced knowledge of permitting processes, Notices of Commencement (NOC), Notices of Termination (NOT), and effectively communicates with city officials, inspectors, and regulatory agencies.
• Maintains advanced knowledge of the Florida Building Code, EPA requirements, and other applicable construction standards.
• Reviews project plans, specifications, schedules, and budgets to identify risks, opportunities, and constructability concerns during the pre-construction phase.
• Leads constructability reviews and provides recommendations to improve project execution, cost efficiency, schedule performance, and overall project success.
• Effectively manages project risks, resolves complex issues, and demonstrates the ability to successfully recover troubled or high-risk projects.
• Evaluates the performance and development of Project Managers, Assistant Project Managers, and field personnel.
• Responsible for conducting PM/APM training and supporting continued professional development within the team.
• Identifies and implements continuous improvements to company processes, procedures, and operational efficiencies.
• Builds and maintains strong relationships with owners, clients, subcontractors, consultants, and project stakeholders.
• Participates in the interviewing, hiring, and selection process for Project Managers and key project personnel.
• Maintains knowledge of industry trends, construction technology, and best practices to support company growth and innovation.

Qualifications and Education Requirements

• Minimum of 10+ years of experience in construction project management, with demonstrated success managing large-scale, complex commercial construction projects from pre-construction through completion.
• Proven ability to successfully lead complex projects with significant budgets, schedules, and multiple stakeholders.
• Demonstrated ability to lead teams by providing direction, mentorship, and problem-solving solutions rather than simply managing tasks.
• Advanced knowledge of construction processes, project management principles, scheduling, budgeting, and cost control.
• Strong understanding of subcontractor management, contract administration, client relations, and risk mitigation.
• Experience managing multiple concurrent projects or highly complex individual projects.
• Working toward or maintaining an approved industry certification of choice.
• Strong leadership, communication, organizational, and decision-making skills.
• Ability to effectively prioritize and manage competing demands while maintaining quality, safety, and project performance standards.
