What is process-oriented work?

Process-oriented work involves focusing on the steps, procedures, and workflows necessary to complete tasks efficiently and consistently. It emphasizes understanding and improving processes, often using tools like flowcharts or process mapping, to ensure quality and efficiency in job performance.

What professions make 200,000 a year without a degree?

Process-oriented roles such as sales managers, real estate brokers, and certain technical sales positions can reach $200,000 annually through commissions and bonuses, often requiring strong communication, negotiation skills, and industry experience rather than formal degrees. High-paying trades like commercial pilots or specialized construction managers may also achieve this income level with experience and certifications. Success in these fields depends on skill, performance, and sometimes licensing, rather than formal education credentials.

What are process-oriented jobs?

Process-oriented jobs focus on analyzing, improving, and maintaining workflows and procedures within an organization. These roles often involve skills in process mapping, quality management, and use of tools like Six Sigma or Lean methodologies to enhance efficiency and consistency.

What is a Process Oriented job?

A Process Oriented job focuses on following structured procedures and workflows to ensure consistency, efficiency, and quality in tasks. It involves analyzing, optimizing, and maintaining standardized processes to improve productivity and reduce errors. Employees in these roles prioritize adherence to established methods, continuous improvement, and operational efficiency. This approach is commonly used in industries like manufacturing, healthcare, IT, and business operations.

What are the key skills and qualifications needed to thrive in the Process Oriented position, and why are they important?

To thrive in a Process Oriented role, strong analytical thinking, process mapping, and quality control skills are essential, often supported by a degree in business, engineering, or operations management. Familiarity with Lean, Six Sigma, or similar methodologies and tools like flowchart software or ERP systems is commonly required. Excellent attention to detail, communication skills, and a proactive mindset set top performers apart. These competencies enable professionals to optimize workflows, enhance efficiency, and ensure consistent quality in organizational processes.

What are some typical daily responsibilities of a Process Oriented professional?

As a Process Oriented professional, your daily tasks often involve analyzing current workflows, identifying inefficiencies, and recommending improvements to streamline operations. You may also be responsible for documenting standard operating procedures, training team members on new processes, and monitoring key performance indicators to ensure continuous improvement. Collaboration is a big part of the role, as you'll frequently work with various departments to implement changes and gather feedback. This hands-on involvement helps ensure processes remain efficient, effective, and aligned with the organization's strategic goals.

What is a good job for people with slow processing?

Process Oriented roles that involve routine tasks, such as data entry, assembly line work, or administrative support, can be suitable for individuals with slower processing speeds. These jobs often require attention to detail and consistency rather than rapid decision-making, and they may benefit from structured environments and clear procedures.

SBA Closing Process Lead

Lenders Cooperative

Birmingham, AL • Remote

Full-time

Medical, Dental, Vision, PTO

Re-posted 16 days ago

Job description

Lenders Cooperative is a forward-thinking group of former bankers, investment bankers, and technologists who recognize the need for better innovation and solutions to support financial institutions' commercial lending efforts. Our core mission is to help these institutions focus on their true strengths.  Joining Lenders means being part of a mission-driven team that values innovation, collaboration, and a commitment to excellence. If you thrive in high-pressure environments where urgency meets creativity and where every challenge is an opportunity to create impact, then continue reading....
Lenders Cooperative seeks an SBA Closing Process Lead who will serve as the functional leader of our SBA closing team. This role is focused on transforming how closings are executed, driving efficiency, consistency, and scalability, rather than traditional people management.

This individual will lead the design and optimization of closing workflows, champion the use of technology, automation, and AI, and ensure the highest standards of quality and compliance across all loan closings.

As a subject matter expert in SBA 7(a) lending, the SBA Closing Process Lead will provide day-to-day guidance on complex transactions while fostering continuous improvement in speed, accuracy, and overall team performance. This role will influence and mentor the closing team.

Key Objectives

  • Improve closing efficiency and reduce cycle times through process redesign
  • Enhance consistency, accuracy, and compliance in loan documentation
  • Drive adoption of technology, automation, and AI within the closing function
  • Serve as a thought leader and mentor to the closing team

 Ideal Candidate Profile

The ideal candidate brings deep SBA 7(a) closing expertise combined with a forward-thinking, process-oriented mindset. This individual is comfortable operating in a dynamic environment, embraces technology and innovation, and is motivated to challenge and improve existing ways of working.

Success in this role requires the ability to influence without direct authority, implement new solutions, and elevate team performance through better processes, not just oversight.

What We’re Looking For:
  • 7–10 years of SBA 7(a) closing or related commercial lending experience
  • Strong knowledge of SBA programs, SOPs, and compliance requirements
  • Proven ability to improve or redesign processes, not just execute them
  • Comfortable working in a fast-paced, evolving environment
  • Experience using LOS, document management systems, or similar tools to drive efficiency; interest in automation/AI a plus
  • Strong organizational skills and attention to detail, with the ability to manage multiple priorities
  • Effective communicator with the ability to influence others and drive process adoption
  • Strong problem-solving skills, including handling complex or non-standard deals
  • Commitment to staying current on SBA guidelines and contributing to continuous improvement

Benefits:
  • Competitive salary and performance-based bonuses
  • Comprehensive health coverage, plus free dental and vision
  • Flexible hours and fully remote work options
  • Unlimited PTO and company holidays
  • Collaborative, inclusive, and growth-minded environment

What to Expect:
  1. Apply — It only takes a few minutes.
  2. HR Screen — If it’s a match, one of our recruiters will reach out to schedule a quick call.
  3. Interviews — Meet the team, discuss the role, and explore how your skills fit our needs.
  4. Decision — If it’s a great fit for both sides, we’ll make it official!

Candidates selected for a conditional offer will undergo a background check. A criminal conviction does not automatically disqualify a candidate; results are reviewed based on job relevance and applicable law.
If you’re ready to take ownership of the frontend experience and help shape a platform used by financial institutions nationwide, apply now—we can’t wait to meet you.
