Job Description STRATEGIC STAFFING SOLUTIONS (S3) HAS AN OPENING. Compliance Technical Writer Columbus, OH (Local/Onsite) W2 contract role 12 Months with opportunity to extend Job Description The Compliance Technical Writer Sr is responsible for producing, editing, and maintaining high quality, audit ready NERC compliance documentation for the Enterprise NERC Reliability Assurance (ENRA) organization. This role operates in a high volume, deadline driven environment, translating complex regulatory, technical, and operational inputs into clear, accurate, and consistent process documentation.

The Senior Technical Writer collaborates closely with compliance specialists, subject matter experts, and leadership to document processes, procedures, and supporting materials that withstand regulatory scrutiny. This role also supports meeting facilitation, project coordination, and stakeholder engagement to ensure documentation completeness, accuracy, and timeliness. ESSENTIAL JOB FUNCTIONS: Prepare, edit, and maintain NERC compliance documentation, including: Procedures Guidelines Policies Process Maps Edit documents for spelling, grammar, clarity, consistency, content accuracy, readability, and compliance alignment.

Independently or collaboratively develop documentation outlines, content structures, and revision plans. Translate moderate to complex technical and regulatory requirements into clear, concise language suitable for a broad audience, including non technical stakeholders. Ensure documentation aligns with internal standards and external NERC reliability requirements.

Support the ENRA Compliance group in documenting and maintaining regulated processes and systems. Research, develop, and coordinate updates to new and existing procedures in response to regulatory changes, audit findings, or internal process improvements. Verify documented processes reflect actual practices and system behavior.

Assist in establishing and maintaining procedure revision guidelines, writing standards, and formatting conventions. Coordinate with cross functional teams during procedure development and revision efforts. Coordinate documentation activities with internal departments and external organizations, as needed.

Promote adherence to corporate policies, standards, enabling characteristics, and ethics. Perform emerging or additional duties as assigned. MINIMUM REQUIREMENTS: Bachelor's degree in Journalism, Technical Communication, English, or a related field; or a four year technology degree with an emphasis in technical communication; or equivalent related professional experience.

4-5 years of technical writing or documentation experience. Ability to manage multiple documentation efforts simultaneously in a fast paced environment. Experience with Visio and process mapping.
