Job description

Role description: 

The Process Improvement Manager drives a rapid and continuous improvement culture by coaching others, leading improvement teams, identifying improvement opportunities, analyzing data, and helping to drive data-based decision-making. This role's primary responsibility is to improve plant performance. 

Responsibilities: 

  • Coach and lead multi-disciplinary project teams 

  • Help implement a culture of continuous improvement in the plant 

  • Identify and pursue opportunities for improvement to Key Performance Indicators (KPIs) 

  • Become the plant expert regarding all relevant data sources and statistical analyses 

  • Comply with environmental and food safety standards as set forth in plant policies and programs within the departmental responsibilities 

Minimum skills / qualifications:  

  • Bachelor's degree in engineering, business, or a related field 

  • Five (5) years of experience using various improvement methods and tools 

  • Self-motivated and passionate about process improvement 

  • Excellent written and verbal communication skills 

  • Ability to motivate and develop others 

  • Proficient in Microsoft Office Suite 

  • Proficient in analytical software (i.e. JMP or Minitab) 

Preferred skills / qualifications:  

  • Master's degree in engineering, business, or a related field 

  • Lean Six Sigma Black Belt certification 

  • Prior experience with group applications such as SAP and Business Warehouse
